When asked WHY do they continue to keep their dressing rooms closed, I got this response;
"We are sorry for the inconvenience. Our dressing rooms are not open at the moment. Our goal is to provide the best shopping experience possible while keeping our customers and associates safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re closely following the evolving CDC, state and local guidelines, and continuously adjusting our operations accordingly."
My response to them was this;
"This is the most lame response and excuse someone can give. I'm not sure what guidelines your following, but the rest of this county and state are following the guidelines set by this state!
All other departments stores excluding yours and Walmart have their dressing rooms open and are not going against any CDC guidelines or laws. And they are also "protecting" and keeping their employees safe.
This is just pure laziness and you really should be ashamed of yourselves for your actions, especially at the prices you charge in your stores.
Macy's dressing rooms open.
JCPENNEY dressing rooms open.
Nordstrom rooms open.
Neiman Marcus rooms open.
Dillards rooms open.
Bealls rooms open.
But Belks remain closed because they think they are following some different CDC guidelines that others arent.
Do you think all these other departments stores are going against state regulations?
Come on!! Take your head out of the sand and stop making excuses. Join the rest of the world and keep up with the times. No wonder why your store is empty, people are taking their business elsewhere!
I know that I won't be spending my money there anymore, and I will make sure I'll pass this response from you to everyone I know, including every social media outlet out there including youtube. I remain....."
All these companies that use the COVID-19 as an excuse for laziness should close their...
Read moreI used to be a frequent shopper at Belk. Today, after being ignored by the woman in the beauty department (because she was chatting away- NOT because she was working hard) I was then told that I wasn't allowed to walk away with the product I chose. This was a face wash product, on an open shelf. It didn't sit well with me, but I told her no problem, I had some stuff to try on anyway, and she offered to bring it over to the register for me. While I was trying on clothes, it continued to simmer with me how odd it was that I wasn't allowed to walk away with a product that was sitting out on an open shelf. I decided to ask one of the cashiers if that was a store policy. Not only did she not actually bring my product, but that's not a policy. So I waited several minutes for a manager to explain to me why that happened. She took all of 30 seconds to explain to me that it's because the woman wanted to make sure she got her commission. She wasn't even done with her explanation before she walked away to answer her cellphone. This was a terrible customer experience all around. I put back the cocktail dress and two bathing suit I planned to purchase and walked out of the store. It is very highly likely that I will never be back. That's what I really came here to say, but on another note, the store is filthy now and disorganized. It's really gone downhill. It seems to me like the manager cares about as much about the appearance of her store as she does the happiness of...
Read moreIf I could give this store a negative star I would.. the manager Carrie is completely rude and has no customer service skills at all.. I came in to return an item I purchased online and was told I can return to ANY belk store .. Carrie the store manager instructed her team lead via phone to not take my return. They would not even look at my receipt or try to help me. I asked to speak with the store manager Carrie and she was very rude and condescending. She told me “ how do I know you even bought that from us “ after I told her I did not have the original box it came in due to it being damaged by FedEx.. I kept trying to explain to her the return policy and show her my receipt and the return policy clearly stated in my email and my belks account .. She kept refusing to help me because she said she couldn’t sell the item “ as new “ so she wouldn’t take it as a return .. I finally started to call customer service and only then did she process my return . I went to the other belks in brooksville and asked their manager what they would do.. I was told that they would have taken it back no questions asked BECAUSE IN THE 90 DAY RETURN POLICY IT CLEARLY STATES I CAN RETURN IT TO ANY BELKS WITHOUT IT BEING IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING AS LONG AS I HAVE MY RECEIPT AND THE BARCODE. Carrie should either be let go or retrained, I will never step foot back in that...
