I really wanted to like this store. I knew El Dorado from Miami and they have a good selection of furniture but… the poor communication, unfulfilled items, receiving wrong items and lack of leadership / guidance with the management team is just shameful. It seems the showroom is the only well-stocked area El Dorado has as not one thing of the thousands of dollars worth of items I purchased have gone right - mostly disorganization with inventory. If you are flexible with shipping dates expectations (if it arrives) and flexible with swapping out items already purchased as they have no idea what they have in inventory as the computers shows it’s in stock but when delivery time comes there’s nothing. My sales person Nathalia is great and I don’t fault her but her apologies are not fixing anything. Until this moment, not a single manager has contacted me. Not a single manager has provided solutions. Not a single manager has offered anything for all these preventable headaches. It seems Nathalia is working by herself with no one supporting her by troubleshooting issues. I’ve seen the male manager in his 3 piece suit looking busy but completely disengaged with the customers. I’ve seen the female manager in her high heels equally disengaged with customers. This is not how you run a business, it’s not how good you look in business attire, it’s how you treat the customers and make sure they stay loyal. I’ll be back this Friday (10/21) to pick up the replacement of the last wrong item they incorrectly gave me earlier. I hope it’s actually there this time so it can be the last time I purchase from El Dorado. There stuff is nice but it’s not cheap. If you are already paying a premium price, the minimum expectation is for your purchase to be fulfilled without issues. Should issues happen, then communicate accordingly. I never received communication until I call on pickup/delivery dates after not receiving my items. I still have 3 other rooms in my house to furnish but I rather go with a local competitor at this point.
Edit - Wrote this review 10/18, since then - no reply to my post or zero attempts for El Dorado Management to connect with me. I’m telling you - if you expect El Dorado Corporate or local management to follow up with customers that had negative experiences, it just won’t happen. Read moreVery poor customer service!!! Nick Simmons, the manager, did not care that there was an error made by his sales staff, Hakiem, and lost a $6,000.00 sale. The manager arrogance was unbelievable. My husband and I purchased a sectional ($5, 827), bar ($3000) and wall art (375). The order was to be delivered in two different deliveries. I was told by the sales staff that there would be no delivery fee on the wall art but there would be a delivery fee on the bar ( that I paid over $3000 dollars for). The sectional would be delivered at a different time due to it being out of stock, also a delivery fee. Both the wall art and bar would be delivered on the same date. The wall art and bar was delivered on Saturday. I loved the wall art so much and went back to the store on Sunday to purchase the same wall set again( took what was on display in the store). While paying for the art I noticed the price was less. The female sales associate looked back at my order and we noticed a delivery fee was placed on the wall art for $24.00 and the bar delivery fee was $195. I explained I was told there would be no fee for the wall art ( if I knew that I would have took the wall art from the store wall). I asked to speak with the manager, Nick Simons. He came with his short and non -apologetic demeanor. All items are subject to a delivery fee. I explained, again, that is not what Hakiem told me. I asked if I could be refunded the $24.00 fee for the wall art. He said no. Hakiem said he did not tell me there was no fee for the wall art. I was basically called a liar ( not exact words). Due to lack of understanding, lack of managerial support , I asked for a full refund on my sectional and wall art (not delivered yet). If they did not charge a 7% restocking fee and only store credit for the bar and the previously purchased wall art i would have returned that as well. Read moreUpdating my review yet again: it is now July 2025 - we are still waiting on a basic response from el dorado about our patio furniture being replaced. They did finally send the sectional and now we are told that our patio furniture can't be outside in the elements. Hmmm pario furniture that cant be outside??? INTERESTING! We have 2 chaise lounges and a love seat that are now also falling apart. I have been emailing them about these additional chairs since April and they still can't give me a simple answer on if and when these will be replaced. This company is a joke and their furniture is JUNK!!
Update 6/12/25- my original review was posted back in February 2025, it is now mid June and we are still waiting on our furniture to be replaced. We also have our 3 other pieces now falling apart as well . The company refuses to refund us even though they cannot provide us with our replacement or even a date that we can expect a replacement. This furniture is junk. I recommend purchasing your furniture elsewhere. Oh and we are being told now that our patio furniture can't be in the sun or rain???? It's patio furniture, and we were reassured when purchasing that the wood was treated to withstand the elements. What a nightmare
