Mesilla Valley Pro Music — Local services in Las Cruces

The guitar arrived dirty with rusty strings and buzzing/intonation issues. I reached out to the company(twice before they answered) and they took an entire day to get back to me. They claimed that the guitar was set up and cleaned by the guitar tech before shipment and that this was validated by three store employees. They suggested that the filthy guitar, rusted strings and buzzing issues happened in transit. Their solution was to send me two packs of strings and a cleaning cloth. They were not willing to remedy the issues with the guitar buzzing. Overall my experience with this company was sub-par. Everything about them screams greedy corporation. Sadly I’ve even had better experiences at Guitar Center. It’s already difficult enough buying a guitar online without being able to try it first. I could understand this kind of behavior if I had bought from a pawn shop but this was a music store claiming to be dedicated to quality products and customer satisfaction. Their guitar tech’s level of quality assurance is questionable at best. I would encourage you to be extremely cautious purchasing guitars and other items from them due to inaccurate listing descriptions, lackluster quality assurance and a non-existent customer satisfaction philosophy. Be careful out there! Shame on you Mesilla Valley “Pro” Music!

Edit- This company is acting like I fixed this guitar before they had the opportunity to remedy the situation but this is a lie. I contacted them to fix the issues as soon as I received the guitar. I asked them to pay for a setup and they kept giving me a blanket statement of “I’m sorry but we don’t pay for unauthorized repairs.” They were quick to gaslight me and make me the one at fault for performing an unauthorized repair(which never happened) in order to avoid repairing the issue at hand. They do not care about their customers and they do not back their products! Avoid this company...

What a goldmine of a music store. We’ve actually got a local version of Guitar Center right here in Las Cruces. And yes, the casual and approachable service is always helpful. They don’t rush up on you like the Guitar Center guys which are bucking for a commission but they are there if you need support. The owner being one of them. A fantastic selection for school kids, hobbyists and professionals. Don’t be fooled by naysayers or whatever. The goods are here. I mix and do films along with being a lifelong percussionist and I can find high quality choices for it all. Congas, djembes, drums, sticks, brushes, cymbals etc. Students can come and learn or rent instruments. Home studio folks can get interfaces and good mic stands. Mixing boards for live music. There’s whole room just dedicated to live sound. A selection of beautiful acoustic guitars. Amps and pedals all over. The walls are filled with gorgeous electric guitars 🎸. A low profile building just off W. Picacho on N. Valley. I never would’ve guessed what’s inside. Yahtzee! Fun Fun Fun! And don’t dare listen to the negative nellies who came in with attitude or bad reviews. It’s total nonsense. Thank you Sid for always finding a solution to my questions or challenges. And also finding a way to get me the right equipment at an affordable...

Compare prices with Hubbards Music on watt drive, they have better prices then Mesilla Valley Music, you'll see. Worst customer service at Mesilla valley music! I took my accordian to get repaired and they charged me $34.66 and didn't fix it. They told me they would give me a refund. I spoke to the accounting dept and she said i should have got my refund. Then they called and said I can't have my refund. SID SAID, I CANT HAVE A REFUND THATS THEIR POLICY. They have been in business 34 years and their staff does not know the rules about refunds. Just a greedy busines.I will never return. I will continue to shop with Hubbards music on wyatt drive, save money and 100% better...
