PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE Darren is a racist, unstable narcissist.
I didnât want to write a review. I figured that me taking the high road was taking this one on the chin, but it really bugs me to think he got one over on me. Originally Darren appeared pretty nice and friendly over the phone. He knows a lot about his profession and has the awards to prove it. My girlfriend and I show up for our appointment and got no answer at the door. After a few minutes he answers the door very sleepily. He says he stayed up late and has to reschedule. Thatâs alright, we figured he was just overworked. We made sure he knew it was okay and rescheduled. The 2nd time we showed up we were about 8 min late due to traffic. As we walk in he decides to scold us for about the next 10 min. He was so angry we wasted those few minutes and blamed it on us being âimmature and youngâ. I should have walked away right there, but I was so focused on getting my ring fixed by someone good I didnât even think about it. For the next 30 min he fixed our ring. He did a great job and showed me the whole process. He is in fact as good as he claims. However, he spent that entire time essentially trying to convince me that he is as Black as me. Darren is a white man from Milwaukee. This even included him saying the N word. Unbelievable. When he wasnât trying to prove his nonexistent blackness, he was gushing over his ex-wife, while his current wife was in the room. He made comments about how hot and talented she was and eventually his wife went and sat outside. Eventually, he decides to be nice and go over our 30 min allotted time to add some finishing touches. He said it would be free, and I replied âno no you donât have to do thatâ, as that conversation would usually go, and he said âoh okay then!â and slapped another $60 onto our bill. Crazy. All of that happened within the same 40 minutes. My girlfriend was creeped out the entire time. Hundred of dollars and one of the weirdest experiences ever, all for a ring resize. A customer walked in at the end with a question and got berated by Darren for even stepping into the shop unannounced. His time is âtoo valuableâ. Darren is a great artist, but in this case the artist does not make the art worth it. Save yourself a mental trip and find someone else that respects you. Darren, you begged me for an honest review, so...
Read moreIâve walked by Lyght Jewelers many many times and when I needed to get my wedding band and diamond earrings cleaned I thought I would check them out. Iâm glad I did! Darren was extremely patient and helpful and showed me my ring on the TV so I could see that the band was showing signs of damage and would eventually damage or lose the diamonds. He not only showed me and explained it all but he said it in a way that was genuinely from a place of preserving the ring, he was never pushy or tried to sell me anything. He nicely cleaned the ring and earrings and told me if I wanted to ever wanted to replace it to let him know. I left there feeling very comfortable and not like I had been spoken to by a âsalesmanâ.
Fast forward a few months, to now. My husband bought me a new wedding ring for our anniversary and naturally I took it Lyght to get it sized. I also took in my husbandâs watch for a battery repair. Emily was so sweet and got it all set up for me. I also left my band (the one from before) to see if they could design something to match my new ring. When I went to pick up the sized ring, Darren took time to show me a band where he can reuse my current diamonds and have it match my new one. They even stayed a little late after closing time to allow me to come in and go over it. Both Emily and Darren are great and I will no doubt be back! I cannot say enough great things about them. I 100/100 recommend Lyght Jewelers. They are great people who make you feel comfortable, provide quality work and their prices are...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Lyght Jewelers to have my wedding ring repaired, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, Daren and Emily welcomed me with warm smiles and made me feel comfortable discussing my jewelry needs.
As a self-proclaimed "precious jewel abuser," I appreciated their non-judgmental attitude. Daren's expertise became evident when he examined my ring under his microscope and projected it onto a big screen, revealing the extent of the damage. He confidently assured me that he could fix it and even provided an extremely fair quote for the repairs.
True to his word, Daren completed the repairs within the promised timeline. I received a call within a week, notifying me that my ring was ready for pickup. The excitement only grew when I saw the stunning transformation â my ring looked even more beautiful than when it was brand new.
In a delightful turn of events, Daren and Emily joined me in a playful prank on my husband, who hadn't noticed I was missing my ring. Although we didn't fully trick him, the camaraderie and willingness of Lyght Jewelers' staff to participate in the fun added an extra layer of joy to the experience.
I am genuinely grateful to Daren and Emily for their exceptional customer service, craftsmanship, and dedication to restoring my ring to its former glory. Lyght Jewelers has earned my trust and loyalty, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch jewelry services. Thank you for a...
