Prior review was 5 stars. This review was for my experience on Thursday Oct. 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. - - - - Poor tasting Fish and Chips, not cooked well enough, had to take them home to make them edible. Sisters pork quesadillas were not good either. Meal prep with coleslaw tasting like it was left out of the fridge too long, and brown inside lemon wedges. Did not enjoy this time out. Tried to contact manager about it, but ended up asking one of the nice wait staff to let him know.
Let me explain the low ranking for food. I eat plant based foods. Until recently, the restaurant always black bean veggie burgers as an option. Now, the only choice is the Impossible Burger.
The Beyond Meat burger has 18 ingredients, the Impossible Burger has 21. Both are highly processed and contain several additives and inflammatory oils.
The Impossible Burger contains more sodium than regular ground beef and is lower in some vitamins and minerals. Compared with 90% lean ground beef, the Impossible Burger is also higher in fat and lower in protein.

Read morePrior to Covid restrictions I really enjoyed the food here. Saturday I ordered the fish and chips and both were soggy. I used to really enjoy this dish. Another disappointment was that although the restaurant is limiting diners to 25% and insisting on reservations, the tables are all located in one half of the Tavern while the other half was void if tables. Why not spread tables further apart utilizing the entire area. I'm hoping they were just having a bad day.
