Westside Lanes runs a great special on Sunday that allows consumers to bowl at a 5.00 cover charge as well as 25 cents per game and 25 cents per pair of rental shoes. It WOULD be a great special if the owners knew how to actually run a business. The bowling special was from 2-6pm. At 2:10 I was informed that we must wait until the youth league finished. I have no problem with that. My recommendation would be to run your league early enough in advance that your non-league bowlers don't have to wait. The bigger problem that we had was that there was another family allowed to start bowling prior to the league finishing. After two frames I kindly asked the owner if he would be willing to turn on our lanes. He refused stating they were regulars and they deserved special treatment. I was confused and I recommended that the establishment treat all customers the same. The owner stated that he would run the business as he pleased and if I didn't like it that I could go to Zodiac Bowl. I apologized that he felt that way and he called me an A**hole and told me to get out. We are now headed to Zodiac Bowl like he recommended. I would not recommend going to Westside Lanes. Absolutely will not be giving Westside Bowling Alley my business again. The service was poor from the moment we walked in, and the place reeks of cigarette smoke—because yes, they still allow smoking indoors. I nanny kids and thought this would be a fun outing to bring them next weekend, but I would never bring children into that kind of environment.

On top of that, the pricing is misleading. Online it clearly says $6 per game and $3 for shoes, yet we were charged $6 per person per game—which is ridiculous, especially for a place that’s outdated, smoky, and poorly maintained.

My mom took my 4 year old daughter to bowl and play games 01/26/2020 . She had waited her turn for a lane over 3 hrs and never received one or any assistance in getting a lane . So they played games for the remainder of there time at the alley. After playing games they took the tickets up to claim a prize and because my 4 year old daughter took to long to choose a prize the employee disrespectfully walked away and never returned. End result my daughter never got a price and the money my mom had spent was completely wasted I would expect to speak with the Manager/Owner about this issue and my mother be fully reimbursed over this.
