First time I went, there was a sign on the door that they were closed for the day even though it wasn't on their website... Super disappointed but really wanted to try it so I came back. I split a box with my sister and we agreed that the original beef were hands down our favorite, there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. They were perfect. I didn't mind the seafood one, although as some other reviews have stated the sauce is a bit soupy, but the flavor was great. We had the Philly cheesesteak which was okay. Pat, I expected it to be more like a traditional cheesecake and not have the peppers or onions in it. We also got the broccoli rabe one which neither of us liked it all and kind of wish. We tried a dessert empanada instead... But we will definitely go back to try those another time. We also tried one of the iced tea drinks they had in the cooler which was fantastic. I love the outdoor seating so try to plan a day to visit when you can. Sit outside. Service was great. The lady that was working behind the counter was super friendly and helpful answering questions about them. Bananas. Love the box and packaging and that the names of the empanadas were stamped right on...
Read moreReally enjoyed our takeout from this great new spot. We tried the beef, veggie, apple, and banana/nutella options. I agree with other reviewers, I'd love to see the ingredients listed for each option. The beef was flavorful and rich, and included a few olives and peppers. Veggie had corn, onions, what appeared to be squash or sweet potato, and what I think must be a similar creamy sauce used in other options, based on images shared here. It was also good. The apple empanada was a nice non-chocolate dessert option, and our family loved the banana/nutella. It reheated well in the microwave the next day for breakfast. We ordered the 12 pack for 2 adults and 1 tween, and had 2 leftover. Definitely recommend this spot- a lovely alternative to the many Italian restaurants...
Read moreService was great and so was the atmosphere. Really cute and small place. However, the empanadas were not what I expected. I grew up eating empanadas and these fell short of what I know empanadas to be. They were soggy and typically theyâre crunchy I know these are baked to be healthier, but still not satisfying. I got the 4 pack, 2 were beef, 1 buffalo chicken, and 1 seafood. The buffalo chicken had hardly any sauce there were pieces of chicken that had no sauce at all. Didnât taste the blue cheese. Overall, not well seasoned and very bland...the seafood empanada was also not that great. At that point I was a little disappointed and didnât try the beef. Iâve heard good things about Nosh and was excited to finally try them but unfortunately my experience...
