New Edit as of July 5th 2025: car is back in the shop, not even 4 months after purchase with the engine backfiring. Also noticed the claim that my original post wasn't suppressed so I gave a picture for reference. On my original account i see both of my reviews. On this account I only see this review and everyone else here will notice that as well. I will now be considering legal action as now this has gone beyond coincidence.
End July 5th 2025 update
Apparently they didn't like my review so they are disputing it with Google or something as it is no longer showing publicly. He has now also gone to my mechanic and gotten verbally aggressive with him as well. There has never been any civility since leaving a review. The owner is clearly not accustomed to not getting his way. I have lost another $1000 since my last review but it now has zero issues and no dashboard lights have been on for over a week now. It's running smoother than ever as well. I'll certainly always trust the mechanic.
I'll happily continue to use other Google accounts until my voice is allowed to be heard.
EDIT: I just received a phone call from the owner essentially chewing me out for this review and "buying a car that wasn't on the lot so wasn't for sale" and told me that he had a list of things he wanted to get done on the truck before selling it and told me NONE of the issues and only said to me that it's been a great truck and there have been no issues. Now, I wish I could give 0 stars.
They were very helpful and respectful and that's the only reason I'm OK with them getting 1 star otherwise I'd wish I could give it 0. However, as I said 1 is good for the simple fact that they seem like good people.
With that said, I took my vehicle into a mechanic cause I didn't like their response of my check engine light being on being due to the truck sitting, undriven for 6 months and cleared the code. Code came back 2 days later.
The mechanic did a full checkup and found that the 2 back breaks were completely warped and the 2 front breaks were nearly gone, the tires were 3 different sizes (minor thing but an issue non the less), the battery was the wrong one and too small, there was a part involving the steering (part escapes me but it's near the front tires) that was completely seized up and not working as intended, front ball joint is damaged and needs replaced, air cleaner outlet duct was "repaired" in the past with glue and was the current cause for my check engine light being on, and it's clear that the break fluid hasn't been taken care of in far longer of a time than it should have and the Transmission is well past its standard maintenance servicing.
I'm now over $2k more in the hole and some of the things on that list are still needing done. I'm not saying don't buy from these guys but I am saying that you need to take the vehicle to get checked by a mechanic you trust so that you can fully understand what you...
Read moreI had a great experience buying my new, used truck at Tiger Auto Mall. David was both kind and courteous. He took 4 hours with me just to decide on a vehicle. He never acted irritated because of the time it took me. He was very helpful in the loan process and now I have a great truck. Thank tou for your help David. I am sending you 2...
Read moreI have bought a car from this lot. It is one of the best used cars I have purchased. The service they have given me is excellent. Understand buying a used car is a gamble. All used car lots pretty much get their cars from the same place. If you think all big city lots are better you have not bought...
