Short version: Incredible food Amazing staff Great venue Highly recommend!

Long version: My sister and I needed a place to hold my mother's memorial near to where her ashes were being buried. Neither of us are close to Lehighton (plus we imagined it would be stressful day so the less we had to think about, the better) so we wanted something where we could just walk in and walk out and everything would be handled. My aunt recommended Ateira's (they had made a cake for my uncle's retirement party). I emailed them and got a response about an hour later. Right from the start, they exceeded my expectations because it was after hours and would not have expected a response until next day. Other places I contacted took days to respond (if they even did), so that was great first impression. Missy was very easy to work with and answered all my questions. I had follow up questions a few days later and even right before the event and she never made me feel like I was a pest. Very accommodating, very gracious. The day of the event my sister and I were allowed to come a little early to set up. The front part of the restaurant has a beautiful long bar with 3 high top tables. We set up framed photos on the tables and flowers and our own liquor on the bar. One of the staff (and I'm ashamed I didn't get his name) suggested a better way to organize the liquor which was very appreciative. They provided ice bucket and glasses, too. When family started to arrive, we mingled in that area which nice because we weren't rushed to start eating (I guess I should mention we had venue for 4 hours). The buffet was set along the wall in the back part of the restaurant so nice transition from casual, mingling to formal eating. That area had 10 tables which sat 4 people each. Every table had a candle. It was real plates, glassware and silverware - nothing plastic. It looked so classy. The food was truly amazing (I could write 5 paragraphs on the food alone, but believe me when I say it was friggin' delicious) and the staff kept coming out to make sure we had everything we needed and cleared tables. I should also mention that we told them no nuts (there are 2 in the family that have tree nut and peanut allergies) and they totally accommodated that. No nuts in the cookies, no peanut butter cookies and no almonds on the green beans. After couple hours when people had eaten their fill, we moved back to bar area and mingled again as we said good byes. I know it might be silly thing to focus on, but the layout was just so nice for transitioning welcomes and goodbyes. We had a lot of leftover food (we had expected 5 more people that didn't come, plus I wasn't sure how much we'd eat). The staff provided takeout boxes and pretty much everyone took enough for another meal at home. That was really nice of them to provide that. When everyone was gone, the staff helped my sister and I pack up all the remaining leftovers. Again - can't express how appreciative I am of those small things because on a day when you're crying and laughing and crying again you just don't have the energy to deal with some things. Through the whole day I was thinking, my mother would have approved of this. I highly recommend this place. Even if you don't need a venue like we did, just go with the catering. You won't be...

We gathered all of our family and friends in the Jim Thorpe area to celebrate my mom’s 60th. I had called another restaurant two months before our weekend away and hadn’t heard anything back from them. 2 weeks before the getaway I had not heard anything from the other caterer, so I called Christine at Ateira’s after doing a quick Google search. From the first phone call, Christine was great! We ordered the Mac and Cheese, Sausage and Peppers, Roast Beef, Bread/Butter, Chicken Parm, Roasted Potatoes, and Green Beans. All of the food was EXCELLENT and there was more than enough food. Our entire family enjoyed everything! The Mac and cheese was to die for and the roast beef was melt in your mouth. We put together a quick birthday party and had Ateira's cater 4 trays of food for us and a 1/4 sheet birthday cake. The food was EXCELLENT. Everyone enjoyed it and even the next day a few continued to say how much they enjoyed it. We ordered Salmon, Chicken Picata, Roast Beef, and Mac and Cheese. 🤤 all of it was amazing! The cake was a coffee flavored cake, chocolate fudge filling, with buttercream icing. Again, you knocked that out of the park! We would definitely do it again and are eager to try other menu options.
