I love tractor supply in the Leominster tractor supply didn’t disappoint. I could spend all day browsing the aisles looking at things for dogs and horses and fun projects. I did browse the chicken stuff because I could hear the little peeps and they seem to have plenty of chicks to purchase as well as everything I would need to start chickens, but I’m not planning on doing that right now. I stopped in to get rainbow chard and a bag of organic potting. Mix to start some plants indoors getting ready for the summer season. Like many other stops I’ve made lately, they did not have rainbow chart seats. Even though they carry Burpee and Fair more seeds, they only had red Swiss chard and green Swiss chard. But I was really impressed with the Cid potatoes, Cid, asparagus, Cid, onions, and all sorts of other fun things to grow. Out front they had all sorts of different kinds of miracle grow potting soil, but that is not the brand I was looking for. I did find another brand of organic indoor outdoor potting mix inside that suited my purposes and it was only $10. Overall successful trip. I was really impressed with the five metal rooster statuaries I guess we would call them. I asked the cashier about them and she said they come out for every season and they always sell out. So if you’re looking for a giant metal rooster, that’s bigger than you, you better get to tractor supply and buy them at $200 apiece before they sell out they look like a lot of fun, if you have the room. I didn’t visit the restroom on this trip, but I always appreciate that. They have a restroom and it’s...
Read moreThere has been a sign up at the back side of the New Lancaster Rd Tractor Supply that says Propane filled at $2.79 a gallon, I noticed this sign last Thursday. So I went in this past Saturday to get a propane tank filled. After about a twenty minute wait in the line the cashier told " Oh no we can not fill that there is no one here certified." I asked for the Manager and got the Assistant Manager who said the same thing but did add that the store manager could fill it when she got back from the bank in fifteen minutes. She showed up half an hour later, glad I ran another errand... A few minutes later we went out to fill the tank, she is certified. We spent another twenty minute to no avail, she could not get it to work. She explained that that they had to hire a trainer and when he was there for the three hour training she was not as she kept getting interrupted during the training. He did give her a certificate though she could not run the contraption. They need a star for painful in the ratings as "This was painful." Two things I will suggest to help with this. One, cover the new sign mentioned above. Two, when Tractor Supply pays for someone to train their staff make sure there is enough help so the staff can learn what they need to know, please. Let's see if corporate can fix this without blaming the store staff who...
Read moreRUDE. I was in there with my dad and my mom who are senior citizens. They bought six chickens on Saturday and one died on Sunday. They talked to the manager, Jess. She was very nice. She said come back in on Monday and they would exchange a chicken. When we arrived, we were greeted by another woman I think Emma. She says we couldn’t exchange a chicken. We’ll have to buy six. We explained to her we talked to Jessica and that we could have a one for one swap. She stated I’m the manager, And I am not going to do that. She was rude. I said you realize we are a customer and you’re about to lose one. She said I don’t care. At this point, my wife and I were very upset. We drove over a half hour are there on Jess’s word that we would be able to exchange the chicken. It is not the money, I don’t care about $5. I just wanted a bantam replacement for the other bantam to have a friend. But we didn’t need another half a dozen. This seems like really poor management training. And that does not honor the return policy...
