Losing our loved one was made such an amazingly smooth experience by Darin and his crew. They came and got the body immediately even though it was 4am. They had him cremated quickly so we could fill special vials with his ashes for the kids. They took care of all of the food at the funeral home so all we had to do was walk in and greet family and friends (thank you Hannah)! The price was more than fair and I cannot tell you enough to just trust me and give him a call. We’re from Lansing and it was more than worth the short drive to Leslie to be able to use his beautifully accommodating funeral home. His little guy, Doug, brought a light to the memorial service that we had there. This dog is so smart and entertaining! Do not pay those high funeral prices! Trust me. Call him. He’ll do the rest! If you need a funeral director, I highly recommend Vickers Funeral Home of Leslie/Springport. I can't say enough about Darin, Dug (the therapy dog), and the rest of the staff. Everything was done with caring and compassion. When my mom passed, I knew right away whom to call from a past experience. (There are a dozen places closer to where I live that I could have called.) Darin sent his employees to pick up my mom on the evening she passed. They were very kind and professional. The next day, Darin met with the family to explain all of the different options.
