We went on Friday because Iâve always loved their crab jack soup and itâs only served on Fridays. Unfortunately, they ALWAYS run out, so donât expect to get filled up on it if you get the âall you can eatâ soup and salad bar! My husband ordered the fish special and waited an entire hour to get it⊠I was long done with my soup by then and still hungry wishing there was more. The âall you can eatâ fish special he ordered came with only 2 pieces of fish. The fish was mostly greasy burnt batter with a little dried out fish inside. They ran out of baked potatoes for the special, so the waitress offered substitute potato choices. My husband chose the waffle fries option only to find out we were charged extra for them when we got the bill! The room was so cold we had to leave our coats on for the duration of our meal. There wasnât any background music or TV sound to lend anything to the atmosphere either. Instead, we felt like we were having dinner in a garage, the largest tables in the room were either piled with dirty chafing dishes or objects covered with plastic tarps! There were packages of hamburger buns stored on the floor of one stairway. The main stairway between our table and the salad bar had boxes partially blocking access to the hand railing. This is no place to go if youâre handicapped! Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and I was mostly invisible to her; never asking if Iâd like a second drink, for example, though sheâd ask my husband! (I did finally manage to get one later). We tipped our waitress well since it seemed clear they were severely understaffed. We normally like to support local businesses, but this was beyond ridiculous. The bill was similar to fine dining establishments rather than a bar & grill, and I left hungry, he left with indigestion. ...

A tip is a gratuity not an entitlement, so don't expect every one to be 20% or more. If you manage to earn a tip and it's not enough, maybe try being more attentive and hospitable. Otherwise work somewhere else because you're hurting your business and your wages by being unpleasant. It has not gone unnoticed that the food portions are smaller and the prices went up, significantly. If you want continued business don't complain about your paying customers when you didn't do a stellar job in the first place. It's cheaper to eat at home. People go out to pay for food and good service, and there are lots of other places we can choose to spend our time and money. Wishing Crossroads all the best, but this business is bound for failure if it continues to operate how has been recently. Good manners cost you nothing. Bad manners cost...
Read moreWe used to like coming here. I am sad to say we did not enjoy our experience. The food quality has plummeted while the prices have skyrocketed. The service was alright in the beginning but when we asked for our change back after paying the $80 bill, the waitress acted surprised. A gratuity was given; it just wasnât going to be up to her standards, I guess. We ordered our food to take home and sat there drinking beer and playing Keno, which was very enjoyable but again when we ordered additional beers, another waitress acted insulted that we wanted our change back. We spent over $100 for dinner and drinks and walked out feeling kinda ripped off (as my man put it) All 3 orders of food, the meats were far overcooked and hardly edible, the prices have gone up considerably and NOT worth it. Unfortunately, another business gone to pot P.S. We...
