Farmers Home Furniture | Lewisburg, TN — Local services in Lewisburg

Went here today to look at furniture and chairs with my mother. They have a lot of different things in stock. Some of their furniture was not as soft or as good a quality as some of the things I have seen in other places, and really not priced any cheaper than others in the area. Their hauling to the house fee, for even a local delivery, was an outrageous $80 no matter how close you are located to the store. The two places I checked -- one local furniture store in Lewisburg and one local owned in Shelbyville, had the better products and brands. The locally owned stores in both Shelbyville and Lewisburg had similar prices but better perks such as cutting a deal if you were a good customer and would haul for free. The one in Shelbyville would even take away the junk you replaced with the new items. I was very disappointed with Farmers Home Furniture comparing the two unnamed privately owned businesses treatment of it's customers. I probably won't be buying anything from this store as long as we have good locally owned businesses taking good care of my needs. My advice go elsewhere and buy from local family owned businesses and stay away from large company owned stores. The guy we saw was very nice and no reflection on the salespeople at all. Their corporate needs to do better on policy if they want to sell furniture to me anytime in the future.

Cheaply made dirty furniture. The delivery team showed up acting like a couple of excons and just threw the furniture around like it was an inconvenience for them. They had to swap out my couch for another one due to negligence of the delivery crew loading it and I had to take off a different day on top of already having removed my old furniture leaving me on the floor for a couple days. I purchased the insurance for the furniture and that seemed to give them the OK to man handle my furniture. I have broken feet from the delivery on a chair but am afraid to let them fix it due to their incompetence or get it nasty all over again. Over all experience was bad, I should have just left after waiting to buy the furniture for 30 minutes, being looked at by the floor staff...

My family and I went into this location and we were not greeted at all. If anything they acted as if we did not exist. We were about to buy a kitchen table for our new home in Lewisburg because we try to support local businesses. However, I will never give any establishment any of my hard earned money who can't even take the time to greet me and my family. They lost a potential...
