Lake Park Swimming Beach — Local services in Lewisville

SEE WARNING BELOW! ADVERTENCIA! ⬇️⬇️ For access to the lake, look up “Lake Park”. This leads you to the toll. it was $10 to enter. You can try following this route but it is blocked off to access the swimming beach. Someone said you can try to park in the parking lots on this road but we saw cops standing at the blocked off sections. Not sure if they were stopping pedestrians from accessing the area. WARNING Please don’t underestimate how deep the water is at the buoys/floaty blockage. IT IS 8-10 FEET DEEP. We actually saved 3 people from drowning. They thought that area was walkable & the young girl started drowning & then the brother starting drowning by trying to save her. We heard “AYUDA!” (HELP!) and thankfully we had our floatie with us. My bf and I were lucky that another person came to push us to shore. It took 3 people to push them to shore. We are thankful to be alive! Please swim with caution!

La muchacha empezó a hogarse y el hermano quiso salvarla y tragó agua. Gracias a dios que teníamos un flotador y ellos pudrieron subirse. Mi novio, yo, y un señor tuvimos que ayudarlos a nadar hacia la orilla. Por favor no naden a lo hondo y usen salvavidas!!

NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Please write warnings in english AND spanish. This area has a lot of hispanic people. I’m begging you to use the money you take from people to put more warnings or at least hand out spanish & english park...

No lifeguards. People sometimes drown and divers come and retrieve the bodies, sorry to say. Wear a freaking life jacket if you're not an excellent swimmer or if you're going beyond the bouys. Get a life jacket, water wings, or an inner tube floaty for your child. Watch out for the new hidden underwater metal fixture and underwater ropes! If you bring your dog and tie them up on a short leash in the sun they'll hate it. Take your dog to a quieter area of the shore or bring them here early in the morning. The swimming beach is sandy and has sand all the way out about 200 yards into the water. They just did a lot of maintenance here. Near the restrooms. Can walk to this beach free by parking in the lots on Lake Park Road. To bring a vehicle into the park go to the tollgate, $10 per car with debit card. Park open until 10pm in summer. Never crowded. Parking attendant was a mindless drone. Just moved here a few months back and while riding my motorcycle I wanted to ride through park to see if it was worth returning later and paying $10 for parking. Well the attendant wouldn’t let me ride through without paying despite me telling her I would just be turning around. Then yelled at me as I pulled forward and did a u-turn. I’m the first to pay an entry to help maintain a park but that’s ridiculous. Try hiring people that can think for...
