Unfortunately I'm going to have to change my four star review as the staff and store are completely different than when that review was originally made. First I want to start by saying, for a company that is selling donations the prices are outrageous I'm not sure if habitat for humanity knows this but there are literal sites & stores that sell defective products / electronics and these products are retailing for half price , because they are defected most the time inthe smallest of ways. I do not expect to pay half price for something that has been owned by another person . Something that is scratched up down right damaged or still has the crumbs of the previous owner inside of it ( when I volunteered we were made to clean things out I guess they don't do that anymore nor do they test everything now when something is tested it says tested on it. (When I volunteered if it had a plug ,it got tested period. As I was told by an employee) . Saw two doll houses in there for 40 dollars a piece and was told by a customer that she was getting them , getting them meaning hovering over top of them for 35 minutes while she works on the phone to get someone to either send her the money or bring it up there 😂😂 meanwhile I have cash in hand . the way they let people sit and hold things without paying for them first is a little crazy too , usually there will be a big sold sign if something has already been paid for . However hovering over something until you have the money for it when someone has the funds right then and there is not supposed to be how that works . However I just went up the street to vintage value and got the newest Barbie dreamhouse fully furnished for $20 so I made out . In short, I do not think the prices are fair , nor are they even decent at this point we are not going into thrift stores to pay half price. We can get brand new products for half price !!! And before you respond with the donations are used for the veteran project . Selling your donations is not the only stream of revenue nor is that the only program that you run truth be told the last house that you guys built down here was indeed not for a veteran . However supplies are donated vehicles are donated , there are a plethora of ways you guys get the funding to do what you do aside from Selling the donations. As a previous volunteer I'm just going to go ahead and say it it's gone downhill significantly within the last few years . Furthermore judging by the reviews previous to mine people are just not going to want to shop there regardless of what they may be supporting. My visit was the morning of April 4th shortly...
Read moreWent into this store today, just browsing and saw something I really liked behind the counter. It was a pewter mug with a lady as the handle for $5.00. The lady working grabbed it for me and said “oh no this isn’t priced right it should be $200 because it’s stainless steel and it’s a collectable.”…….. SHE TRIED TO CHARGE ME $200 AT A THRIFT STORE. This is not a consignment store, it’s a thrift store where everything is GIVEN to them. Based off of the lady who worked there’s horrible attitude and the fact that she tried to change a price from $5 to $200 I do not recommend...
Read moreSame complaint as other post went in found a chair marked 10 dollars the lady at the register told us “oh that’s not right I priced that myself that’s worth way more” there were 5 similar chairs all different prices but this particular one had 10 dollar sticker in 4 different places on the chair so as should be we assumed it was that price. I know money is raised for good causes but if it’s marked a price that’s what...
