Davidson County Community Action — Local services in Lexington

I filled out application for help only with phone bill. I have been in hospital or Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Center since January 16, 2025. This is the only thing needing help with, and is my life line to everything from doctor's offices, medical charts, family/friends, and not knowing how long I will be in this facility. Explained all this to the representative and they told me they couldn't help with it that they don't help with that type of assistance and did not know who would. I was not seeking help with rent, utilities, or any type of high payment, but for a $68 phone bill. It makes me reconsider why in the past and for years making a yearly donation to this organization and others, but when I need help I cannot get it. I will be pushing this to other individuals, churches, businesses, and other sources that make donations and explain that I did not get assistance and it was for...

I wasn't hopeful going to this place. I figured it was like all the other places and give you a list and more places to go without helping themselves but I was very wrong. If you got payed off with all this going on try this place. I qualify under the cares act which I had no idea about. And the people were super nice. Talk to Ms. Davis.
