I had a experience today at this store that I will never forget. I am goong to stop shopping at this store and I hope others will to. I stopped by this store today and I will admit that it was close to closing time (4:50 pm). As I pulled up frontvof the store (@4:50pm) a man was coming out the door. I got out of my car and walked to the door, as I got to the door the lady that was working hurried (ran to the door) and turned the lock, locking the door. I have worked retail since I was 17 (I am now 52) and I know that it's not fun to see someone coming in so close to closing. I was stopping in to buy 1 item (a gift for a friend) and knew exactly where it was so I would have been in and out of the store way before actual closing time which was 5:00. When I got back to the car I googled the telephone number to the store while I was still in front of the store (4:54pm). The lady who answered the phone was the one who locked the door (she said she was the one who locked the door). I asked her if the owner was there and she informed me that he the owner did not live in Lexington. I told her I was upset she ran to lock the door (before actual closing time). That she saw me coming to the enterance and that she could have told me sorry that they were closing instead of running to the door and turn the lock shut at the same time I had my hand on the door handle. When I talked to her on the phone. Still before 5:00 she told me that they go by the registers time. I have never been talked to so rudely and basically put off by a retail clerk. The store has never really been that friendly in the past. I hope the owner sees this and learns how his employees at this location and does something about it. As for me (and I hope all of the people I know) I will never darken that locations door again. I will go to the location in Fayette Mall and I hope everyone who reads...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in your store looking for a gift today. During the entirety of the 15 minutes I was there, the two employees behind the counter spoke loudly about a child in one of the employees sisters classroom. I had to listen in great detail about this āterrible child,ā how even his parents donāt want to ādealā with him, and upon being asked if he had a diagnosis by the other employee, she laughed and said he āhad all the letters behind his name.ā This was an absolutely unacceptable experience and I left the store without making a purchase as I couldnāt bare to listen to these two grown adults speak so terribly about a child. A Hallmark Store is no place to berate and gossip about a child you do not know, especially in front of customers. As I left informed the employees that I was horrified by the discussion I had just witnessed and would not be taking my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time back in many years, & it was great. It seems like a lot of square footage for a shop, so they fit lots of goodies in there. I was there to buy a couple of Christmas gifts of the Willow Tree figurines, & they had a great selection. I could buy all of my gift needs there - there's that much selection. I signed up on their website, so I had a $20% coupon. The ladies who work there were nice. It's in a tony neighborhood, so all of the other shoppers looked way more put together than I did, but the workers were...
