the experience wasn’t awful, but it was unpleasant enough i feel compelled to leave a review
i came to this location a little before close. (hear me out before the outrage) usually i’m strictly against doing so, but being that it was ice cream i thought it would be fine and i planned to tip EXTREMELY well (like $10 cash) to make up for my late visit.
upon entering the employees not only didn’t greet or acknowledge us, but we came to the counter ready to order asap as we knew they closed soon. the employees just kind of looked at one another, almost like they were trying to decide who would take our order.. okay, fair enough we did come in late..
when we went to pay, i don’t think the cashier said a WORD to us. by that point i was already rubbed the wrong way from the lack of a greeting, so i asked my boyfriend who was paying to tip $5 on card rather than me giving them cash
the machine told us it was too high of a tip, so we were unable to tip higher than 25% which was about $3.25ish. fair, the service isn’t great enough to go out of our way to tip super high anyways…
but then we walk out, again the employees don’t say a WORD to us, and go to the car. in the rearview mirror i saw the lights shut off and the employees immediately exiting. at this point i felt disrespected, as i saw they didn’t even have closing duties to complete. no dishes to wash, no floors to mop, no machinery to clean… my boyfriend and i coming in added absolutely NOTHING to their to-do list… so i started wondering why were they so rude!?
i 1000% understand what it’s like to work in service and have people come in late, which is why i was going to tip so well, but the service completely deterred me. it seems it was in God’s plans as the card reader wouldn’t let us tip extra either.
i’m sure other times the customer service is great, it’s just when you have teenagers running an ice cream shop they need to know that they can’t yk… act like teenagers all the time. if our visit did not affect the time they left or their closing duties and they got to leave exactly at 10:00 PM on the dot, what need is there to be rude to customers? i would visit again, just wasn’t too keen on this...
Read moreWent in with my children, one of whom is very allergic to gluten and dairy. Normally ingredients are listed on the little flavor signs for each product; this is one reason we go to Baskin Robbins regularly. This time there were several flavors with hand-written signs. We asked the girl waiting on us if she knew the ingredients, especially if any of there were gluten or dairy free. She said, "I don't know." Then she looked at the other equally clueless girl and asked her if she knew. She responded in a suoer annoyed voice that she didn;t know either. So we stood there and pulled out our phones and looked up the website and went through all the searching until we found these specific flavors, then clicked on the ingredients and looked them up ourselves. All this time these two bozos behind the counter just stood there watching us impatiently. Thank goodness we are intelligent enough to do their customer service for them; there were no flavors safe for my daughter. Needless to say, we will not...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went into baskin Robbins today and I noticed this girl working in there and last time I was there she was there working as well. Anytime we go in there she is always rude or disrespectful to someone. She’s about medium height has blonde and red in her hair . Last time she got an attitude with my friend over a flavor of ice cream . Then today I go in there and she is constantly rolling her eyes when I tell her what kind of ice cream I want , on top of that she was talking to an employee she was working with about another worker and was constantly bashing them, cussing, and being loud in front of me and my boyfriend . The ice cream is good and majority of the workers are good, but this one particular worker seems to give us a bad experience the past few times we have went in there. I believe her...
