M&M Pro Audio — Local services in Leyden Township

First and foremost M and M audio has been the audio shop of choice for me since 2010. I remember coming to Mario with a old amp gifted to me by one of my uncles and sure enough with no hesitation he said I got you we can hook it all up and see just how much power we can make. At that time the goal was to get 2 kickers going through an after market double din on a 2006 Nissan Altima. It’s no surprise to anyone here, that he outdid himself with it. Taking his time to tune the system and inviting me to be part of the process in order to assure I was satisfied with the sound and bass. Fast forward to May 2024. I finally decided to bite the bullet and figure out if we could set up a proper sound system for my 2019 Honda civic Type R. I had been avoiding the bass community given the many headaches reported by many in terms of the DSP needing to be bypassed and after market systems causing errors with the cars electrics. I decided to give it a shot and pay Mario a visit once again. Entering the shop I was met with his wife Maria who is always a pleasure and welcomes you with a smile every time. I asked if Mario was available and within minutes I could hear him coming my way. With no hesitation Mario walked me into the office and heard me out on what I wanted to do for the car. Mario always seems calm, cool, and collected and at that point then and there he began brainstorming on ideas that could work. He laid it all out there some required the stock radio to be removed and others where we could keep the stock but add power and power up the speakers in the back. We discussed the DSP issues and he was able to come up with solutions to each and all of my questions with no hesitation. The trophies surrounding the back room go to show just how much he cares for audio. It was no question Mario was the man for the job. I left my car then and there and kept me updated on the process the entire time. One issue that did come up was when testing the wires he kept getting distortion from the stock signals. Without skipping a beat he said this was definitely puzzling, but not a puzzle that he wouldn’t figure out, and guaranteed me a sound I would be in love with. The distortion pushed us back a day but true to his word he left me speechless the next day when he invited me to tune the system with him. The enclosure for the speaker we picked out was running a little late so I was instructed to arrive a little later in the day to assure everything was received. Once items arrived I got a call the tuning session was to begin. I arrived 20 mins later and was greeted by Mario finishing up a tune on another car prior to mine. He welcomed me to listen in on the finishing touches. That car had a handful of speakers and the bass literally was felt in my bones as we blasted Mr. Carter by Lil Wayne. Without the shred of a doubt Mario is a beast with audio. A couple of modifications to the box to get the perfect fit for the speaker and we were set. Wires hooked and laptop connected, next step was powering everything on and seeing just how hard we can make this speaker knock. The speaker itself was a Memphis 10inch sitting in a horn ported subwoofer enclosure. I know just one compared to the kickers from many years ago. The specific amp we chose allowed us to individually tune the 6 speakers throughout the car separately and finally the sub in the back. Let me just tell you now this man was right this combination/set up. Blew my mind. When I tell you that thing was knocking. IT WAS KNOCKING!!! Both our faces were caught in the moment and couldn’t help but enjoy the sound being emitted by the set up. The smile on this man’s face when he is blasting music is exactly mine, when I turn up the volume to full blast at home. Mario really is passionate about all he does and it shows. I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to work on my car an and trouble shooting any issues that arose during the install. I have a 2011 toyota corolla s and was looking for a fully new audio system to upgrade my car with. After looking at several car audio shops I came across M&M and made a stop in appointment with Mario to Discuss my car. First let me discuss other shops and answers I got prior to M&M. Shop 1- Went way over my budget and told me that if I wanted it done right thats how much it would cost. Didn't even look at my car. Shop 2- Looked at my car for 5 minutes, went slighlty over my budget but didn't explain a single part of the process which made me feel very uncomrtable due to them saying "don't worry we know what we're doing and we'll make it look right" Shop 3- Asked me to bring my car in to give me an estimate. When I arrived they asked me for my budget. Without even looking at my car they gave me an estimate over my budget. Someone explain this to me please? Then I finally came across M&M pro audio. All 5 star reviews online and not one complaint. I decided to give it a go and give them a call. I was busy that week and couldn't go in to the shop to get an exact estimate so I told Mario what I wanted to do and he explained to me absolutely everything on the phone for 30 minutes!(keep in mind, other places that ASKED ME to "come in" only spoke to me for 5 minutes after making a drive to see them!) I liked the way Mario explained everything and decided to go in for a consulting appointment. He spent 2 hours of his time just looking at my car and giving me every literal option! He told me exact prices, what he would recommend, what I honestly wouldn't need, and explained every bit in extreme detail for me. He gave me every option he could think of, asked me for my budget, then told me which options where best and fit my budget EXACTLY! After seeing how much time and effort he was giving me I could only imagine the work he was going to do for my car so I agreed on an install date. I got the full package, back up camera, radio, front speakers, back speakers, extra equalizer, 4channel amp, subwoofers, class d mono amp, and dynamat on the entire car. When I went to pick up my car, they where playing music and my jaw just absolutely dropped. I couldn't believe that the music was coming from MY car !! Took a look inside and was blown away by my expectations. They drilled my amps onto my box in my trunk to look absolutely amazing, they hid my Bass Knob Perfectly, their was Absolutely no wiring available to be seen anywhere inside the car, the backup camera was flawless and the dynamat they added was extremely noticable due to the increased wieght of opening my trunk lid. Beyond what I expected! If I could rate higher, I would! Mario and his son are one hell of a duo and know how to do everything PERFECTLY. When you receive exceptional service, it’s worth writing about. Thank you M&M Pro Audio! I called Mario the owner on a Saturday with a project that I wanted to have done in my truck. I’m an over the road truck driver and I wanted to mount a motorized tv stand on the ceiling of my sleeper. Mario listened to my request, He really listened to what I was asking him to do, he didn’t try to make it out to be something complicated, he said that he could do the job but was too busy for me to come in that day. He told me that he would be open on Sunday, and I came in the next day. Mario and his team, made me feel welcome and at home while I waited. The level of comfort in their presence was unexpectedly hospitable and relaxing, and warm. It was very cold that day. The techs went above and beyond explaining to me what needed to happen throughout the process, they needed to build a frame on the ceiling to properly support the mount for the tv. Without sharing all the details, whatever they did behind the scenes was unnoticeable, because when I got back in my truck everything was put back together the way it was before. I am happy with what they did and how they did it. The service was outstanding as well as the attitude of every member on the M&M Pro Audio Team. I had asked them if they were all family, and to my surprise they were not.
