Liborio was my “first job” in high school. I can’t even say it was actually my first job because I don’t even think I was there for longer than a month. I have been noticing that every few months they are constantly hiring. I thought it was time to share my experience there.
Liborio’s did not pay me for my training, never gave me a consistent schedule for hours, and could never keep track of my phone number. I can’t even count how many times I had to repeat my cell phone number to Mary and her mom (owners).
One day, two or three hours into my shift, Mary drove me home and told me she would call me with the schedule for the next week. Obviously she didn’t, as they could never keep track of my phone number. Nothing was ever written down. The communication was awful.
I think the worst thing was witnessing Mary’s mom pick up cookies that fell on the floor and put them back on the shelf for customers to purchase. The floor was not clean by any means so this was truly disgusting to witness.
My parents were loyal customers for years to this bakery, but after all of this nonsense, we never looked back. There are so many other fantastic bakeries around the Chicagoland area that serve quality bread...

It is made with the finest of ingredients and professional care. Julie informed that Liborio always provides bread for sandwiches and other delightful menu items. They are very prompt in delicering on time and have a very professional and knowledgeable staff to accommodate all needs that may arise.    Read moreThis is by far one of the best bread bakeries I've been to. It's a very small store front with display cases full of butter cookies and bread sticks. The shelf behind the counter is full of bread. It is so overwhelming because you want to buy one of each loaf. They also had pan pizzas on the racks as well. Service was awesome! The lady (assuming she was the owner) and the young girl were very patient with us and were very friendly. A gentleman came out from the back and was also talking with us for a bit. The prices are so reasonable I had to double check they didn't forget to ring me up for something. Butter cookies, focaccia bread, and Italian bread were as fresh as can be. They ONLY take cash so just have some money in your pocket before going. Highly...
