Edge Nail Studio LLC — Local services in Liberty Township

I will begin by saying this is not a review of the salon as a whole as after this happened their owner did reach out to me to try to rectify and apologize for the situation. This review is for my experience with Kristen O's. service. I began seeing Kristen regularly every 3-4 weeks in January (2025). I had no complaints or issues at all until this time. I left the salon happy, I didn't receive the exact design I had in mind but overall my nails were sparkly and pink and I was happy. About a week later the polish started to discolor (separate?) it looked very odd. Usually I have no issue with waiting 3-4 weeks to be seen so I was surprised that they looked actually pretty bad a little over a week later. Kristen and I had a very friendly client/ nail tech relationship (friends across social media etc) so I thought nothing of texting her photos and asking and trying to brainstorm what could've went wrong this time around. Rather than stand behind her work and handle it professionally she immediately became defensive and cancelled all upcoming appointments that I had! This was before any back and forth texting... I was friendly and curious with my inquiry and she immediately cancelled my upcoming appts... It was WEIRD, pretty shocking, and entirely unprofessional. I posted a review to their fb page and was promptly blocked. The salon owner ended up privately messaging me and explaining she in no way condones this and agreed it was very unprofessional. She gave me a refund for how I was treated (which I never asked for) which was very sweet of her. However, I 100% do NOT recommend doing business with someone who responds that way when someone asks a question.... Very unprofessional, very unfortunate experience. First of all I started seeing Niki since last year or a little before maybe? And she made my hideous nails that I got done somewhere else look so freaking good when she got done fixing my hack job someone else did. 100% recommend!! Niki has been doing nails for a long time. I have had my nails done by Niki for a good 15 years. She has always done amazing work from the beginning til now. She is able to invision and make it happen! All are very good in Edge I personally have a lot more history with Niki. Everyone is available to be booked online. Appointments are a must and such a good thing! Highly recommend Edge...
