Plummer's Hardware — Local services in Limerick

Some of the worst customer service experiences in my life are at Ace. Anytime a sales associate recommends using duck tape and cable ties, you know you are in hell. Having to explain why that won't work to the sales help is ridiculous. It doesn't matter how much money you are willing to spend, you'll never get ANY help. Every trip to Ace is my last. But there aren't always other options. Incompetent? Oh, they've got the market cornered. When the place was staffed by mostly adults it was hit or miss. Now that it is staffed by mostly children it is ridiculous. I hate to say it, but I have tried to spend my money locally and it just doesn't happen anymore unless I am desperate....

Staff friendly tries to be helpful if I can't find what I need, or ideas of work-arounds and how to. Also, you can get whatever in a few days through Ace Hardware website... or I make a point to ask Wendy, she is most helpful! Also, you really need to come look for (whatever) as the computer search doesn't always show what all they have in stock, some things no longer available online it seems, which I may want. Great local...

This is my go-to to hardware store, and I'd rather go here than to the big box stores. The only gripe I have even isn't with Plummers, but Ace itself. I have seen my rewards expire, and it's not fair that I earn them by spending money here, that I lose them. So, for that reason, I will sometimes avoid shopping here if I pay the same or less for being a veteran at the big box stores. Ace isn't the only one who can...
