The man who runs this place is absolutely amazing. My roommates took every single thing I owned, while i was out of town (stranded 9 hrs away in new mexico) and threw my stuff on the curb. Then they got my 2 beloved dogs and a new litter of 8 puppies sent to the pound. I came home to nothing. Homelessness, no clothes, no belongings, no dogs...nothing but the few things I'd taken with me when I left. I have nothing. The man heard me say that while I was searching for a couple backpacks in his store today. He asked how much I had to spend, I embarrassingly told him 2 dollars. He said well then that's your total. I began to get teary eyed...I needed to remember that there are good people alive. Then he said you only have these 2 dollars? I want those 2 dollars to continue to be yours, and he handed them back. He was today's blessing for me. What an amazing soul. I repeatedly said thank you, he would never know how much that meant to me. I'm sleeping in my car. I just lost literally everything...down to my deceased son's receiving blanket. He named his place a fitting name...he sure was my "blessing and more" today...as I try to go to sleep now in my car, and the muggy heat...I have a water bottle to drink fresh water from that he gave me, a beautiful bible to read, complimentary of him, and a great backpack to keep it all in. God bless you. Thank you for helping my spirit...thank you for...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer but when Joe ran this place not even 2 years ago it was smooth running. He knew what the store had wasn't the best and would price his items pretty low. You could even haggle or talk about whatever you wanted to buy with him or his staff, with the message of helping the community and the community helping back. Lately with the new owners, the store seems to have lost its original message. And has instead become increasingly less affordable. Before you could buy a wood chair for around $5 or $10. Now the new owners fell that chair is worth $35. They then try to lure you in with 50% off sales just to get items (like that chair) purchased at their previous price. Not just that but most of the auction leftovers or yard sale junk has been ridiculously priced to the point where I would not be surprised if this store suddenly went out of business. Most of the items they sell are worn, missing pieces or broken. Joe knew what he had and knew what it was worth, along with what his cliental wanted to pay for it. I guess the new owners will have to find that out on their own if they want to stay...

Owner is extremely nice, personable and reasonable in pricing and always there to help. I'm always pleasantly surprised not only with my total but with the items I find here. My man is not much of a shopper and he even makes it a point to go here (with or without me) so I highly recommend that you at least give it a shot I'm sure you'd be surprised too! Update(Dec2022) Seems the Owner has passed the goblet over to a lady so they are rearranging everything...
