Used to love this place years ago I even gave it 5 stars on an old account. I was a regular until it got too pricey for my budget. I recently stopped by again and grabbed a coffee and some food. Honestly, it's way overpriced. I get that cafés charge more for the vibe, but downtown spots with higher rent still serve better, cheaper coffee.
Some drinks here are good, but others taste awful. I have a sweet tooth and love lattes, but on three occasions I asked if a drink was sweet and it wasn’t at all. Not asking for super sugary, just a little sweet. And when I asked for extra syrup, they gave me a weird look, added some, but didn’t even mix it. I didn’t realize until I got to my car that it tasted the same. Had to go home, stir it, and reheat it. Totally not worth it.
The weirdest part is the passive-aggressive vibe i got recently for asking for some extra syrup, i mean honestly, A year ago, they forgot to mix the syrup into my drink and it was bitter until the bottom. They've messed up before, and that's fine just fix it, but without the passive aggressive look down, So between the inconsistent drinks and the attitude, I’m just meh about this place, the sandwiches are good, I won't lie, it's what redeems it, also the vanilla matcha latte is good. But the salted caramel latte is um.. interesting i guess, not my favorite, I've had it like at like 3 other cafés and they were all good, this one, not so much, no offense. I mean, if you want to try the place you'll probably have a good experience, but eh it's a 50/50 with the drinks if you like sweet drinks Update, I think my coffee was really burnt, I had my friend try it, she drinks coffee a lot more than I do, she said the beans were burnt, and the salted caramel was too salty, but idk maybe thats bc i added an extra pump...
Read moreIn the past this was my favorite coffee joint. But recently new employees and rising prices have ruined this shop. The last few times I have went here, my orders have been consistency incorrect and the staff has been more focused on flirting with eachother than providing basic customer service. When I've asked to speak with a manager, the employees refuse to direct me to them. This is a low quality restaurant with extremely high prices, I'm sad to see it fall to these levels.
Response The prices are not my primary reason for not feeling welcome at your establishment. The last few times I've went there have been plenty of staff scheduled. They man working yesterday didn't understand how to run the register, his co-workers offered no help, our orders have consistently been taken incorrectly, the food and drinks are made different every time, and when I've tried to bring this to the staff's attention they are extremely rude. They clearly lack training due to their apparent inability to preform their duties and severely lack customer service skills. I've been treated with more dignity...
Read moreA nice quality no frills coffee shop with just good coffee. Plus they are local. I figure why should I contribute to Starbucks CEO multi million $$ salary. I would rather support small independent business any day. I hate chains of any kind and try to avoid when given the option.Much Better coffee at Mo Java and better service. I only do the straight coffee not the fancy lates and such but my friends say that mo Java specialty coffees beat Starbuck any day of the week and are cheaper as well No one should be paying 5-6 bucks for a coffee with some sugar and whipped cream. I bought a couple of lbs of bean coffee as well and they have a fine variety. I say go toMo Java and have a nice cup of hot coffee and relax and enjoy and for a little while at least things will seem right...
