Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Lincoln

By far the worst food I have had In a long time period. I ordered the burnt ends meal And a loaded baked potato the baked potato Was almost completely dehydrated it was terrible I don't know what they did to that potato but I've never tasted anything quite so bad. Burnt ends are supposed to be tender juicy and melt in your melt in your mouth. The burnt ends that I had here were so oh tough I could barely stab them with my fork much less Chew them, To add insult to injury they didn't taste good. Sapp brothers has better burnt ends and they are not even a barbecue joint. The only saving grace was that the dinner that I ordered came with garlic toast, that was the only thing that I found to be delicious everything else I could not even eat. The staff were Lexidaysical no one had checked on the dining area the whole time we were there. There were quite a few tables that were dirty with food debris. my tabel didnt even have paper towels on the dispenser. If the food had been even mediocre I wouldn't have noticed any of the Other aforementioned issues. My advice is pass this place up and go to any...

Fast service, amazingly friendly staff and fantastic BBQ! Hog Wild Bar-B-Q is a new restaurant for the Lincoln area and I had been told by a few different friends to give it a try. Since I spent 6+ years managing a bbq joint myself I’m typically not a fan of BBQ food anymore. Well, let me tell you this was absolutely the BEST BBQ I have ever had. A friend and I both got the Smoke Stack sandwich and it was fantastic. The beef brisket was juicy and tender, the links on top were a little spicy but the perfect amount of kick, and the bun was PERFECTLY buttered and toasted. My friend got fries as her side, which truthfully how does someone screw those up? I had the mac n cheese. I’m a mac n cheese lover and this also met par. After receiving our meals the manager and co-owner stopped by our table to ask how things were and noticed we didn’t have any ribs so he brought us a sample of those. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had at a restaurant...

Visited this restaurant for the first time with no expectations. They were exceeded. I am a huge barbecue enjoyer, and make frequent trips to Kansas City for barbecue (among other things). I got the 2 meat meal with brisket and hot links. Also got Mac n cheese and mashed taters. The food was above adequate, although it could have been a bit warmer. The service and atmosphere were both exceptional, which makes this a great place to take the family. The service was great. As soon as I finished my order and filled my drink, the food was already done! As soon as I sat down my brisket n taters came faster than a *** * **. Staff was also very friendly. I came to Hog Wild simply because I was hungry, but I left a different person. The food was mediocre as far a BBQ goes, but the children’s birthday party next to my table made me feel like I had a real family for the first time in my life.
