Our family came to know Dr. David and the staff of Wardlaw orthodontics 25 years ago, after our pediatric dentist referred my 5 year old daughter for evaluation. When we walked in the Little Rock office , it felt comfortable. She is now a mom herself , and has a beautiful smile. We have 3 other children who have seen Dr. David and also have beautiful smiles . Our 4th and last is about to finish up his Invisalign treatment in the next few months. He began seeing Dr. David at age 5 ( like his 3 other sisters). He was born with his lower jaw underdeveloped and for the first years of his life eating anything was a challenge. When he was ready for braces Dr. David recommended that we try Invisalign as an experiment to see what kind of movement he could get. Dr. David was so very kind but also honest with me each time preparing me for the probability of needing to have surgical intervention when my son was old enough. When we began the Invisalign my son was in elementary school, and I remember Dr. David telling me his hope was to bring his lower jaw forward and although he could not predict how much movement would occur, that if he could get 80% he would be pleased. Today my son is 17 years old and his teeth and jaw and mouth are more than 80% aligned. ( I may not be communicating the correct technical terms). It has been one of the most amazing things to watch, and we are so pleased with the outcome. No surgical intervention is needed :). I have no hesitation recommending Wardlaw orthotics, and am very grateful to Dr. David for the courage, vision and willingness to try new things while at the same time being encouraging and kind to our family. In 2019, I decided to smile. Now don't get me wrong, I have smiled for a long time. I just made sure that my teeth were never exposed. My teeth were crowded and crooked, causing me embarrassment and plenty of discomfort, especially with dentists. A childhood of neglect and abuse led to this wonderful condition that I had lived with for 40-plus years. I began the search for help. I narrowed it down to two orthodontists, both with great track records. When I visited Dr. Wardlaw, or David as I will refer to him, I was impressed. He started by telling me how he would do the work, how much work I would have to do, and what the outcome would be. He was genuine with his concerns but confident in his work. Confidence is what sells it for me. I took the chance and had four teeth removed. Then came the Invisalign. My first set lasted almost 72 weeks. Then some adjustments, and another set of 48 weeks. Another adjustment and a set of 12 weeks. The last day came and I was so shocked to see the results. I will admit that I am still learning how to smile. I mean really smile, showing my teeth to the world. It is a wonderful feeling to show my teeth with no embarrassment. I struggle to describe the happiness that I feel, overcoming a lifetime of shame. I wanted to share with anyone needing orthodontic work our amazing experience with Wardlaw Orthodontics. My 8 year old son had a severe underbite and cross bite so we went to Dr. Wardlaw. From the moment we scheduled to the first appointment to 22 weeks in, the office is amazing to work with. Very professional and very comfortable setting. The office makes you feel at home and Dr. Wardlaw makes you feel confident in the decisions need to be made. Dr. Wardlaw is a master at his craft and his team and staff are very professional and knowledge. Dr. Wardlaw recommended Invisalign to correct Jaydon's issues. It was the perfect diagnosis and within 8 weeks his underbite and cross bite was corrected and as of today, 23 weeks in his spacing is progressing perfectly. So thankful for Dr. Wardlaw and his awesome staff for not just treating Jaydon's issues but treating us like family and one of their own. if you need an orthodontist, look no further.
