Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Little Rock

My wife & I approached the counter to give our order. Nothing of any personality was said. I asked a question about the Cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and received a 1 word response. After placing the order, I went to the soda fountain and got our drinks as my wife went to the bathroom. I waited around up front and seen the cashier go to the bathroom. As I’m still waiting for our food, the cashier comes out of the bathroom a few minutes later with dripping hands. I figured maybe he didn’t get them dry bc trying to rush back to the kitchen. He proceeded to wipe them off on his pants and continue on. We get our food and go to chow down to discover that my wife’s chicken strips are cold and my fries are cold. The flavor of mine wasn’t horrible but my wife is 7 months pregnant, she didn’t eat the cold chicken. She ate her fries as hers were warm. I bit into my chicken sandwich and it was warm. It was plain with a big piece of lettuce and 2 pickles. No sauces. I thought maybe the cayenne was infused in the breading possibly. It wasn’t much for flavor so I asked for the cayenne ranch (that I had already paid for but didn’t receive.) It helped pep it up and made it worth eating. So, food poor, service poor and questionable on cleanliness methods. We go to leave and my wife hits the soda machine one more time to get Diet Coke. The Diet Coke is flat. So, all in all, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat...

My family and I LOVE Slim Chickens so much that we drive over 20 minutes to eat here when we are craving chicken. This time I placed an order, picked it up, and went home. I ordered 3 meals and requested ranch in 1 of them and gravy in the other 2. We typically get 2 sauces per meal however this time 2 of the meals only had 1 ranch and the other meal had 2 ranch. Normally I would’ve just moved on, we all make mistakes. But my wife is pregnant and had her heart set on the delicious gravy. After the drive I sat in 5 o’clock traffic for an extra 20 minutes so before I drove back for the gravy I figured I would call. The manager Octavia answered and was rude and pushy from the beginning. I was just trying to explain that we hadn’t received the gravy and she kept cutting me off and talking over me. After many times I said “please stop talking over me I am just trying to explain….” And she hung up on me. I immediately called back and she handed the phone to someone else who simply listened to what I had to say and confirmed the manager’s name for me. Like I said we are Slim Chicken fans however after this I will drive a little further to frequent another location because of this interaction. This place is not only better than CFA, but you guys have better service. I understand it's hard for newbies and I got one order error only once. Was a lot of fries. Accidentally gave us the monster size that lasted us till dinner, but hey, we love your food. I'm LGBTQ+, am not religious, but y'all are a blessing. Your practices are better, and you donate to good charities. I haven't seen any controversy and hope it stays that way. Your service has been amazing, even when the drive through was swamped with customers wanting your amazing food. Plus those mason jar desserts? Damn good. And you get to keep the jars to reuse at home! I hope they continue with that. Slim's is so good, and the employees are so nice. I've been in a dine in once and it was nice and clean. Felt safer and more welcoming. I've never had a bad sweet tea from them either. I'm southern, so I judge a place on their sweet tea. Slim's passed! Definitely going back when I can!
