Escape Whiz — Local services in Livingston

Our Girl’s Trips always include an Escape Room. We NC ladies were supposed to do an escape room in Baton Rouge but were running behind. I saw that Escape Whiz was on the way home and it is a true jewel in Livingston. The owners slipped us right into the schedule when I made my last minute call to them. We were thrilled. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the absolute sweetest couple! We chose “VooDoo Plantation” and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was quite challenging but we found the jewel needed to escape with very little time to spare. What amazed me is that this highly professional ER was written by the owners! Most scripts are purchased and implemented in an existing business. Not at Escape Whiz! The scenario video was very well done, the room’s decorations were time-period accurate, they used a plethora of puzzles that kept us challenged and entertained. It still amazes me that they authored the entire thing! One awesome attribute at Escape Whiz is a children’s room. We got to do that one, too. It was beyond cute. The puzzles that lead us to Teddy Bear Tito were mostly easy for adults but perfect for elementary children of all ages. As an educator, I was impressed that the puzzles addressed all types of learning styles, meaning all children have the opportunity to be successful. I especially liked that they can change the end result so children can play it numerous times without replication. Impressive still, the room was written and produced by the owners. As you can see, I cannot compliment Escape Whiz enough! You will NOT go wrong visiting this sweet family owned business that makes escaping that much more fun! Since they are adding some new adult escape rooms, we look forward to visiting them again next time we are in Louisiana! For my daughter's 17 th birthday we did her favorite activity as a family and took on the challenge of escaping Voo Doo plantation at the newest escape room, Escape Whiz. We had so much fun! It was my hubby's first time but my daughter has done a lot of them and said this one ranks up in the top. Everyone really worked together as a team to escape. The owners, Rebecca and Will, even arranged to have birthday balloons in the room with a secret clue as an added touch for the birthday girl. After we narrowly escaped we wanted more and decided to check out another one of their rooms created especially for the younger ones, Finding Mr. Tito. I have to admit, we struggled a little as we were all taller than the average customer but laughed a lot. We LOVED every minute of the two rooms we did here! The puzzles were a lot of fun, and everyone had something to do. The rooms are designed well, look great, and utilize the space well.

Major props for having a room specifically designed for kids. Our two kiddos (9 and 10) had an absolute blast getting to take the lead on a room and, for the most part, completed the room of their own. We enjoyed getting to watch them and give gentle nudges when they over looked something. The girls were talking about both rooms, but especially Mr. Tito's, for the rest of the night.

If you're looking for a family friendly escape room, add Escape Whiz to your must-do check list! We know we will be returning to enjoy more rooms as they open up and wholeheartedly are looking forward to it!!
