Highway 42 Package Store — Local services in Locust Grove

Never shop there again. Went to purchase some items for Christmas gifts, they had them in stock and when I tried to buy three, the lady treated me like a child and said I could only buy one. Went down the street to their only competitor, they had the same item in stock and I asked if there was a limit she said buy as many as you want. I don't know if the attitude was because who it is owned by but I also saw her charge me a different price then the guy buying the same thing right in front of me. Avoid this place, go down the street and be treated a whole lot better. It was my first time going to either but will never go to this rip...

As much as I hate to say it, there are simply better places in the McDonough and Locust Grove areas to buy beer, wine and spirits. While the folks who run the place are nice , the selection and layout of the store really need to be improved. Wines aren't very well organized with both reds and whites alternating placement on the shelves. The beer selection is pretty lacking as well with more macro brewery stock than craft beer. I didn't spend much time looking over the whiskeys and bourbons, but I didn't see anything special with what I did view.

On the plus side, their prices...

All of there stores are GREAT!.. My favorite location by far however is the one located on and named hwy 42 package store!!! They always have what I need and its just the guys and the wife of one are men have great customer service are courteous and proffessional!!! If you havent been you should definitely try their location you won't be disappointed that's a promise and it's so convenient from all surrounding cities...
