❤️ Monica is my stylist ❤️ ⏪Rewind- two years ago my hair was bleached off by an Aveda stylist. All my length and thickness gone. I was in shock for a few weeks. It was too short to put in a pony tail or even cut to one length. 🍊About a year after I went to a local stylist I followed online who had gorgeous hair photos... She did a good cut but left my highlights really orange. ☹️I know it's just hair, but I became pretty depressed and felt like nothing would ever help, did pills, got the biotin shots monthly, and obviously used "growth" products. Needless to say nothing actually helped because my hair was so uneven and thin. I bought expensive clip in extensions but hated how they felt. ⏩ Back to 2018, I messaged the salon for what I wanted and where I was currently at in my hair adventure and was referred to Monica. Again basing what I saw online I set expectations low and decided I just want my hair one color and the best attempt at an even trim. 💇‍♀️Monica was very quick in texting me for a time to come in and get the color and cut done. While there we talked about the past few years and she brought up the tape ins. I was obviously scared given my previous experiences but I saw so many amazing photos and I felt like she wouldn't do anything short of amazing. 👸 Standing in my bathroom curling my long blonde hair for work tomorrow I almost cry because it's like nothing ever happened. I don't feel ugly, I'm not frustrated trying to style it, and most of all it really feels like it's apart of me. 🏃‍♀️There's so much more to how amazing Monica is, like when a part came out and she dropped what she was doing on her day off to rush in and save the day... all for a little piece of hair that could...

This place use to be my go to when Nicole was working here. I had a balayage appt. for my highlights/hair that were growing out with Savannah. Her pictures seemed nice on Instagram but my hair turned out to look worse when I left the salon since I had random orange/brassy highlights & my overall hair was darker which caused me to have to wash it multiple times to get the dark hair color out. I told her that I wanted my roots lightened to my growth & I didn’t want dark hair & my out growth around my face really lightened to the top of my head. The first 2 pics in my room were taken in December ‘18 (done by another stylist) & the bathroom picture was taken AFTER she colored my hair in late March (the same day). As you can see all my roots/outgrowth are Still black around my face & she left pieces of hair that were orange in the back, the whole strand was black & some parts highlighted a brassy color (& my hair lifts easily). I paid 150$ and when I brought this to her attention she said she could add “some highlights” in the front and that was it ignoring the back. I feel I definitely wasted my money and I wouldn’t recommend this salon.

What’s not to love about Jewel!!

First off the space is beautiful, warm and inviting, and everyone here is so nice from stylists to clients! Definitely love my appointments here.

Shannon is my stylist and an absolute gem! When I first moved to area earlier this year I was in desperate need of a new stylist. I found Shannon via her salon website based on a google search, reached via dm on insta and from the get she was really nice and made me feel welcome. Even got me in that week for an appointment. That first appointment was awesome. She did my hair so well and now I won’t go to anyone else. She’s that good!!

Fast forward to June and now my daughter who is visiting is sitting in her chair getting her hair done, while I’m getting a wash and style by Jada one of Shannon’s gorgeous twin girls who are both apprenticing under their momma. Both girls, Erica and Jada are offering a special right now for $10 for a Wash and Style that’s a steal, and young ladies are sweethearts!

Jewel is definitely a jewel in the heart of town and definitely worth coming too!!

P.s. Laura their resident aesthetician always does an AHMazing Brazillian, and she is one of coolest women I’ve ever had rip hair out of my nether bits with hot wax! Love my visits...
