Esteys Country Store — Local services in Londonderry

Went there to get a tree for Christmas and saw a few animals outside in 32 degree weather. Two ducks, a few little goats, rabbits and three baby chicks. I’m giving one star because it is WAY too cold for those birds (this is coming from an avid and experienced bird owner)!!! Every group of animals were inside makeshift dog pens to keep them separated with a bit of straw and no wind breakers, though I’m mostly upset about the baby chickens being forced in the cold because they were too young for that weather, nor can their type of fluff handle it (they were silkies). Baby chicks at that age and size need warmth, not 32 F weather to be cooed at!!! Hate how companies and businesses force animals outside in the harsh weather just to attract...

Esteys is a great local find. My wife and I started stopping in here to pick up fresh local produce. From there, we discovered that they had a great assortment of other local products such as cheeses, salsas and sauces. Now Esteys has become a part of our routine because the selection and uniqueness of their products are so good. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention thay they're an authorized Traeger dealer. The country store here has a wide variety of local produce, preserves, and items ranging from elk and venison to various types of relish and raw honey. Even delicacies like pickled fiddleheads can be found here. A year later, and they've increased the quantity and variety of their stock. Well worth stopping in , definitely a great weekend stop.
