King Fish Market — Local services in Long Beach

Well, I would be reviewing their food, but I've never tried it. So for now, I'm reviewing what I do know of this place which is the customer service, they have NONE. And when I say NONE, I actually mean it's non-existent. They are beyond rude! This last time, I arrived there 5 minutes prior to closing and they actually turned me away! It's a shame, I was going to spend A LOT of money. A time before, they closed early despite their posted hours. Another time, I saw a bunch of police outside their front door arresting someone and decided to go somewhere else. The first time, they refused to give me directions and said "Oh, you too far away." I have made the effort to go out there on 4 completely separate occasions, which is an extremely long way from me, so I give up! They obviously don't want...

I walked in the place and it looked like a DR's office from 1960s No personality. all the staff is behind a thick plexiglass wall. I ordered the catfish and it came with fries. When I GOT the catfish, I ate SOME of it. It was chewy and hard like as if it was frozen and they popped it in the oil. I usually go to the Louisiana behind Jack in the Box off Atlantic but they were closed that day. THEIR catfish is tender and very delicate. From eating King's catfish, I got sick and ended up throwing up for four more hours! I had to throw the rest of the food away, I couldn't eat it and I was charged $.69 extra for using a debit card. Louisiana has Friday special 2 catfish and 8 shrimp under $6...

I’ve been coming here for years and always had a great experience with the fish and the sides. But the last couple of times things have changed.. The Mac’&cheese tastes plain no flavor at all… and the sides smell like they’ve been sitting there for days. BUT YESTERDAY I GOT FOOD POISONING BECASUE THE MAC AND CHEESE TASTED LIKE PASTA WATER AND HARDLY ANY CHEESE IN IT AND I TOOK ON SPOONFUL AND WAS DONE FOR… I personally miss the old owners.
