Louisiana Pico Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Long Beach

I have been visiting the Louisiana fish-fry for over 8 years over the years I have noticed increasingly poor quality of food such as dirty oil, over cooked fish, however chose to over look it as you generally do with a fav spot, this last visit was horrendous, the portions were miniscule to the regular generous size, I ordered 1 lb of red snapper to be fried, when I picked up my order it felt especially light, when I got home and opened the container to my dismay I found bits and pieces of red snapper literally it looked like they cooked the end pieces of a snapper filet, next the batter was grainy, sandy, salty and some were overcooked, I ate it anyway vowing never to return, later that night I experienced a stomach ache and indigestion probably due to the extreme amount of oil in the fish or dirty oil....Louisiana you should be ashamed of yourself serving this caliber of food in a lower socio economic neighborhood….stop taking advantage of the community, if you cannot afford to stay in business close shop….find something else to do, there is nothing worse than a Asian taking advantage of Blacks and Browns in our own neighborhood, I am done with Louisiana…off to bless another...

We ordered Dinner combo 9. We got our order after 15 minutes, which was quick. We tried the red snapper, and it's was good. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay.

The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.

Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or...

Look i love this place. My girl is always nice and does my shrimp bomb. I came last week with my girl who is super picky. She asked for her shrimp with only salt and pepper and NOT deep fried. And she made them perfect and juicy. I come in today and its the pops in the front . tell me why he said he cannot make the shrimp with salt and pepper and NOT fried. He said they dont do that here. I said fine. Make it with salt and pepper and fry it. He said dont complain if its too small. Dont come complain to me!. Look if my girl can make it why cant...
