The care here is awful-if you even want to call it that. I have been here before and have had better experiences but this was absolutely awful. I came in with a severe cough, sore throat, fatigue/weakness, and mentioned I had been experiencing chills and fever the past few days. I left feeling as though none of my symptoms mattered to the staff and they just wanted to rush me out the door. I also was not seen after I checked in as they took on another patient before me even though they checked in after me. I was only swabbed for the flu, was not given the option to swab for anything else, and when I asked āwhat do I haveā and expressed my concerns of my violent cough and coughing up phlegm-the doctor told me the flu swab needs to come back first because it was not a rapid. Again I was not even told they were not performing a rapid and was given no other options. The doctor so simply put it āit doesnāt really matter the name of what you have anyways, so it doesnāt matter what the test comes back as, you just need rest and take some NyQuil or DayQuil to manage your symptoms.ā I explained to her I actually did need to know since I have a chronic illness and am being treated for it with medication that already lowers my immune system, so this information is important so I can share it with my specialist. All she did was say āokā and walked out the door. I also had to ask for a doctors note after she said to get some rest and her reply was āwhat, for today?ā And was only willing to give me a note for tomorrow. If recommending rest, a day does not cover it. All in all this little $40.00 trip that I took to St Lukeās Care Now was a waste of my time, and my money, as I got nothing out of it all other then the feeling my symptoms did not matter and I did not matter as a patient. Sadly this is the only place in the area open on a Sunday. Will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am normally not one to ever write reviews but I do feel the need to write one for this place. I went in on February 22nd with a headache, sore throat, swollen glands, bright green mucus and a fever the day prior. I was swabbed for 3 different viruses/illnesses and once the first two came back negative I was tested for the flu. I was told that the flu test would come back in 24 hours and that my strep test that they also did, were both going to be sent to a lab to be analyzed. I somehow got the strep test back before the flu, even though the flu was supposed to take 24 hours and she said that the strep was going to take a few days. When the strep test appeared in my St.Lukes mychart, it says that the strep test happened on February 15th, which is impossible because I went to this Clinic on the 22nd. So I have no clue why that test appeared an entire week prior to getting my actual test done. I called when I looked at this mistake and still never got my flu results on Saturday the 24th. It is now Monday the 26th and I had to call again because I was never called back. When I called, the concencious was that my flu test was essentially lost. Like I said, I never write reviews but I am a full-time college student and I also work full-time and I am now losing out on time for my school work and my actual job because I still am very sick with all of the same symptoms, and no test results. The staff was nice when I was there on the 22nd but that honestly does not make up for my test being lost and me still feeling very sick and losing out on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am an almost 50 year old woman who has had asthma and lung challenges my entire life. My PCP is not in on the weekends and the other office in the practice is about an hour away so I decided to go here. I knew what was wrong, my asthma was flaring, and knew the meds I needed. When I met with the dr (I think she was a dr) I explained all of this to her. She said it was a post nasal drip and my lungs were fine. She also told me not to use my rescue inhaler because it would make the drip worse. I said, "Respectfully, I know my asthma is acting up. I used my inhaler this morning, maybe that's why it sounds ok now?" She told me that she couldn't treat my lungs because they sounded fine to her. She's was a bit matter of fact and seemed annoyed that I questioned her. She perscribed a cough medicine and I left. Feeling unheard and annoyed, I got in my car and called the office of my PCP that's an hour away and asked if they could see me. I drove there, saw the dr (still not my PCP). Again explained everything and after he checked me out he agreed that my lungs were clear but my asthma was acting up. He said the only way to get better is with a steroid, which is what I told the person at St. Lukes. Everything this dr told me, I had told the person at St. Lukes. I was really upset that urgent care didn't listen to anything I said. I realize I'm not a dr, but I know my body. Will not return here again. And my asthma has been gradually getting worse all day. I'm happy I trust myself and drove the extra hour. Starting...
