Every so often you come across a place so unexpectedly special and magical you feel like you must have imagined it. Happy Bubbles Laundromat is just such a place. As I sit here writing this, a young girl is trailing a blue helium balloon (provided gratis by management) throughout the aisles. My view of her is obstructed by the spotlessly clean machines; but as I'm watching the balloon itself - bouncing joyfully above the spinning suds - I've realized that it is high time to take a crack at my very first Google review.

I love this place. I look forward to coming here. As I wander through LA trying to pick up the pieces after my Mom's death (which arrived suddenly just four months after my Dad's and six days after my dog Theo's) I am thankful for small blessings in unbidden places. From the basket of candy and water personally offered up with kindness to every patron by owners Gary and Joe (who just happened to introduce himself to me as I sat quietly writing this on my phone - just to point out the fast, free wi-fi I was welcome to use) to their charming outdoor patio, the meticulously arranged stock of mini detergents, and the bright, clean, happy space...this is one HELL of a laundromat. Talk about a soap opera story of redemption! Happy Bubbles had been my jam since 2020 and I've seen the highs and lows of scams living in LA. This one is easily top 5 stories of corruption where the owners were nonethewiser to the employees that were skimming money off the top and operating with a fingers on the scale.

With the changing of the guard, Jotti and her husband Mickey caught the crooks red handed; embezzling thousands and thousands from customers, the register and uncovered their scheme of hiring a third party fluff and fold to actually do the customers laundry! Until this day there are customers who are shocked that this had carried on for as long as it did and feel betrayed by the father/daughter scheme.

Now that this fraud has been ironed out, I can legitimately recommend Happy Bubbles Laundry for all your clothing upkeep needs!

Angie is a sweetheart and has been hospitable since day one! She is the hardest worker in North Hollywood and has even watched her grandkids while managing the place! She's the first one in and last one out! And what's most impressive is that she seems to always be in good spirits with a smile on her face! Angie might be the inspiration for naming the joint, "Happy Bubbles"

This is my favorite neighborhood laundromat in L.A. I was reluctant to even post a review because I don’t want this place to get crowded. But, hey, as a Christmas gift to the management here goes. It’s a tiny little laundromat in a strip mall in North Hollywood, but it’s clean and the staff are always friendly. The clientele is also of good quality. I enjoy that it accepts Apple Pay so I don’t have to get my credit card out. I also like the free WiFi, which makes my time here fly by. The laundry machines are top-quality. I’ve never used the wash-and-fold here, but this is offered. Despite its location in a little strip mall, There has always been parking available, close enough where I can sit in my car and use the WiFi. They also give you a free wash every nine washes. It’s a really nice, community feel. My one suggestion is that in the summer it gets a little hot, so they should invest in window shades or better AC. But I come here several times a week and I always feel like I’m visiting my second home.
