After calling and researching numerous lash extension schools, I was at a loss because I just didn’t feel like their programs checked all the boxes on my list, based on my needs and current skillset(Esthetician student with a basic “working knowledge” of how to lash but lacked the specific instruction for how to be precise, successful, and competent. Basically, I’m a “arm-chair” expert but couldn’t lash properly to save my life). I happened to hear about Hollywood Makeup School from one of my Esthi friends/fellow student and was impressed with the range of classes they offered in addition to lash extension (make-up, brow mapping, lash extension, permanent makeup and more)! I contacted the school and was able to get all my questions about the program and pricing answered and felt confident about enrolling in the program. The course was 2 days and claimed to cover EVERYTHING..which is what I was hoping to find because I have neither the time nor resources to take a week to learn “classic”, another week to learn “hybrid”, and so on and so forth. I wanted to learn “how to fish” because once I knew that, I can take it and run with it. CJ was my instructor and, let me tell you, he is a WEALTH of knowledge. I’m SO impressed with the entire program because it gave me the knowledge, tools, and resources I needed to not only learn the “basics” but how to grow and develop my craft as I continue to improve my technique so that I can continuously develop my basic skills into advanced skills, without having to wait until the next class is in session to learn the next, more advanced skills/styling. CJ will also teach you how to customize every set for YOUR client because lashing is not “one size fits all”.
