I am so incredibly disappointed with Evolve. I was looking for a pole studio in my area to regularly take classes again (I've done pole for 8 years) When I saw this studio pop up on Course Horse. I signed myself up as well as my friend looking to try pole for the first time.
When I walked in the studio there was a class going on so we sat to the side till someone was at the front desk or greeted us, being as it was our first time ever in the studio. After sitting for a while, another woman said to warm up. We were a little confused since we had not signed anything or spoke to anyone. With in moment a women came to us and said to come with her. Great! We are about to get started we assume.
I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. EVER. We explain we had signed up thru course horse and it was our first time there. She goes on and on about how she has no idea what Course Horse is, explains how we should be more careful what we buy online (Keep in mind, my friend and i both work in digital media for one of the largest YouTube channel that exists, we are EXTREMELY familiar with internet purchases and trusted sites.) Says we are not on the register. I ask how we obtain a refund. She has no idea and continues to talk to us in a very considering manner. She calls the owner mid conversation to find out what Course Horse is ( of course the owner is aware of what it is. She hangs up the phone with out asking how to obtain our refund. I ask her again, she said i dont know we'll have to figure it out. I ask her to call the manager back to obtain the information. She rudely rolled and called back, with no information to give us. We were not on the roster thus did not even get to take our class.
I was really looking forward to going to this studio regularly. I am happy i spent 40$ to find out it was a waste of time before I pumped in 100$'s monthly to attend. Would not recommend to ANYONE wanting to learn pole or even be treated with adequate...
Read moreThree of us surprised our friend by taking her to a class here for part of her bachelorette party. I had found a deal where we got 50% off our first class and thought it would be fun. I tried reserving a spot since there were four of us and couldn't online so I emailed and they helped me out. When we first walked in we were greeted by the woman at the desk and she was so friendly and even gave her a nice tiara for free, I'm talking heavy and shiny (not plastic!). We rented yoga mats for cheap and went into class. A couple of the girls were a little uncomfortable at first since I talked them into it but our teacher was so nice and welcoming. She started us out with some stretches and broke us into groups after, beginners (us and one other girl) and more advanced, since we were a "party" she made sure we all stayed next to each other. She would go back and no teach us a move or spin and give us time to practice while she taught the other group their moves- they were awesome! While we practiced she didn't care if we took pictures/videos of each other and she even offered to take pictures of us as a group! We all ended up having so much fun and it was an awesome workout, we were sore after! The bachelorette and I want to do it as an exercise class in...
Read moreThis studio is amazing!!! Super cute and quaint, tucked away upstairs off Pico and Fairfax, I was greeted by a warm gal named Alisa (or Alicia, sorry if I am spelling it wrong!) and she was adorable. I didn't realize that I hadn't officially signed up for the class I wanted and though the class was full, she still offered to squeeze me in at no extra charge. What a peach!!
I took Intro to Aerial/Silks by Leigh. She was just phenomenal. Very personable, friendly, direct, confident and helpful. Warm up was great, I felt it pretty good and my muscles were nice and warm before we began climbing on the silks.
She taught us the basic beginning silk moves as well as some fun tricks... she even let us take cool photos with our phones! She made sure that every girl got to get up a couple of times, try the moves, etc. and was very positive with feedback for each individual. I didn't feel like my form had to be perfect or anything, she just kept it fun and simple!
I will DEFINITELY be taking her class again and I'm bringing my girlfriend as well! Not to mention, Leigh also teaches beginning Lyra/Hoop and I will also be trying that when the time comes. Thank you Evolve for assisting me in EVOLVING into the best...
