My Mother has experienced the worst customer service ever! She went to this store in Winnetka this morning TWO minutes before 7:00 am; the entrance of the store was open, so my Mother assumed the store was open and walked into the store, she went right to the flower section. The store manager, as soon as he sees my Mother looking at the flowers, yelled at her and told her to get out in a very terrible, disrespectful, and humiliating manner. He then at 7:00 makes my Mother go through the other door to prove his control over the store when the door where she was standing was opened. My Mother, after purchasing the flowers, came back to the house, crying as she felt very humiliated. I went to the store to discuss the matter with the store manager, who did not want to disclose his name and was very rude. One of the cashiers said his name was "Jay' on the receipt the manager name read as "Willie V." Whoever it is, his behavior is very hostile for the position he holds as a Manager! We completely understand if there are policies in place, but this type of behavior towards a customer is entirely out of line, especially towards women. I went to the store and took pictures of both the entrance and exit doors. The store hours sign on the door is not very visible. Not to mention that if the store was closed, I don't understand why would the door be opened? And to be so humiliating over someone walking in TWO minutes before 7:00 am is ridiculous! I have never encountered a manager be so overly aggressive with customers. We shop at this store and spend thousands of dollars every year, and we don't appreciate this type of behavior. Jon's needs to retrain their staff to be customer-friendly. The reason why retail stores are open is due to all of US consumers! Meaning proper respect for customers should...
Read moreThe new manager lady is awful and rude. Has zero understanding of the laws that require honoring of posted price. Yesterday at check out, they rang me up $5.99 for blueberries, which had a posted price of $4.99. I told the cashier, she went and looked at the posted tag and called the manager. The manager came over, did not even look at me, turned to the cashier and yelled at her that she already told them to change the tag to $5.99 and refused to honor the posted price. This cashier was new and looked helpless, the old experienced cashiers looked at her in disbelief but were just as helpless.
This new manager is going to take customer service to a new level of low.
Let along that her arrogance is breaking consumer protection laws.
Good prices and good produce if they have it in stock. Lately they are very low on produce and fail to remove rotten fungus ridden products. Several times had to go to the one on Sherman Way to get what I came for. Even though this location is closer to my home, I prefer to go to the Reseda location because they are better stocked. Here is a good reason why they are such a mess. I observed this 2 days ago. Four produce restockers are congregated around the pile with persian cucumbers. One guy is working on cleaning out bad ones and the rest are shuffling stuff with their hands but really not doing anything productive. I walk up and ask if they can bring out more fresh tomatoes. The guys that are buisy talking and pretend working smirk and tell me that there is enough in the pile. I got upset and asked for a manager. The guy who was being productive, went and got a new box of tomatoes for me while the other 3 did not...

When you buy cans like Kidney beans be aware the cashier will swip 4 even though you bought 3. Today(03/21/2025) I had only 6 items I went through the 15 items or less and Patricia was the cashier and she asked if I wanted a bag and I said no, (the reason they charge $0.20 per bag when all other stores charge $0.10) she processed all the fruits and 1 Mayo and then after I paid she came around the counter and checked my grocery cart and she went through the only bag I had and verified that I PAID for everything. TODAY I FELT Targeted. You guys lost a customer and will be reporting you to the state for over charging your customers. Have fun with that and I have the proof of all the receipts where you corrected the price not once but almost every time I come in over the...
