What is there to say about VKC? It's like reviewing.. water. You use it all the time, don't think of it much, and probably take it for granted. But VKC deserves some credit for the many memories you'll develop here.

Many liberal arts classes call VKC home. I took language classes (Chinese and Korean) here, as well as a history class and several others I'm not remembering right now.

The building is unlocked at night, so you can come in after 7 or so to study. Plenty of other people have the same idea, though, especially around finals, so you may have to look elsewhere. There's always the library. You can also book rooms here for student organizations; it's a popular location given the availability of rooms and the proximity to freshman dorms.

Somewhere in the late 2000s or early 2010s they upgraded the furniture to comfortable, ergonomic chairs and clean white desks. They're very comfortable. Unfortunately, many of the rooms aren't large enough to accommodate the furniture. VKC was built when USC had far fewer students and, let's be honest, obesity has increased quite a bit since then.

The facilities aren't exactly spectacular. The building feels worn-out, and the arches dated. The globe tower is a symbol of USC, though, and it's a nice way to get your bearings when you're lost in your first days of freshman year.
