In April I was in the difficult position of having to clear out my Moms house after her passing. Judy came to the house and said she wanted most of the remaining items but her offer was so insanely low I honestly could not even imagine she was serious. I tried to discuss the amount with her but she gave me this long story about how the cost to have HER truck driver come get thingâs because he knows how she likes things wrapped was a cost of $900 so she couldnât offer anything more. My moms house did not have junk, everything was was very nice and why she wanted things. I had recently found out that things needed to be out the following weekend so I very reluctantly agreed, but feeling it was not right. On the day she was supposedly arriving with her guy and his truck, I arrived at the house before her and see someone is out front in her huge SUV..and when I asked the guy in her SUV, where the Truck is, he proceeded to tell me that Judy had pick up a UHAUL and was on the way. A UHAUL that she paid $50 for!! So when I met her as she pulled up in her $50 UHAUL, (photo below) I reminded her about what she told me about âHer guy and truck who knew how she liked things wrappedâ that she said would cost her $900. What was her reply?? She actually SMILED and said âwell, what can I sayâ. AND there was no one wrapping anything. Things were just put in the UHAUL as is. I felt even more taken advantage in that moment. I was so angry and disgusted, there are no words. The disrespect of me, my situation and of my Motherâs belongings was almost unbearable. It felt sickening to watch her take things from the house after her blatant lying. So just like the other reviewer who wrote about Judy lying to her, I too experienced this. She is a disgusting woman with zero decency. Like the other woman, if I could give zero stars I would. And on top of it all, Judy has ZERO formal receipts of any kind. If you ever purchased anything there, or sold anything there, youâll know this. So her business operates with zero receipts other than a Post-it Note. Sheâs an awful person and Iâm sickened that some of my Motherâs belongs ended up in her store. Iâll never go anywhere near...
Read moreThe women who own and manage this store are absolutely delightful , and that is the highlight of shopping here. If you like digging around from Warehouse to Warehouse, this can be a fun place to do it, as there is a lot of ground to cover. Unfortunately for me at least, there was no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. Most of their inventory are mass produced 70s and 80s American brands, all of which need refinishing to some degree. That can be great too if the price is right, however, the prices here are quite high. In fact, I would say on par with the best retail facing establishments out there. You can buy vintage French or Italian authentic pieces at a fraction of the price at auction for whatâs being sold here, so if youâre looking to kick around and generate ideas, itâs a good day dreaming place, but I wouldnât come to buy more than a small...
Read moreLarge warehouse of antiques and vintage wares open only on the weekends. The larger warehouse is well organized by type of furniture and there are some really interesting finds grouped by chairs, dressers, side tables, credenzas, and buffet/console tables. The âbarnâ section contains smaller items, kitchen and home wares and nicer luxury furniture. Definitely worth digging around to find some goods. Also the owner, Judy, is very welcoming and makes it an enjoyable experience. Not everything is priced so you just have to find her or take a picture of an item and bring it to her at the front desk and she can help you out. You can find some pieces at a good deal but Judy knows her stuff and charges accordingly for harder to find & high demand items (ex mid century pieces). Also she is set on her prices so what you see is what you get. Enjoy...
