On 4/29 I bought brakes, and was told they had a lifetime warranty. I buy the brakes, and do the job. About three weeks pass, and one pad is already on metal. When I go back to exchange using the warranty I was sold on, the cashier agreed they should be exchanged, but was overruled by a thicker woman with red hair, who just says metal on metal, and walks off. Normally I’d understand the reasoning for this, but three weeks? It’s not like I’ve had them for 6 months, and just grinding them out. I was told the caliper is messed up, and they weren’t gonna do anything about it. Cool, so I go to call the district manager to get an explanation, and proceed to go to auto zone while waiting his call. I buy new brakes from auto zone, and go put them on, still waiting on a call. Well since then I’ve had zero problems with my brakes. Autozones product is either stronger, or O’Reilly sold me a faulty part that they didn’t want to honor. My caliper is functioning properly. Brakes were bled, and the same process I used the first time, I used the second time. I use to shop there because I trusted the products, but I’m going to be switching to auto zone, or online due to the lack of customer service, and quality of parts. I never wanted money back, or anything. I just wanted to exchange. Guess what? Still no call from the district manager.
Update: pat the manager called me today to apologize, and offered me in store credit for the brakes. This is all I wanted, and since he made it right I felt it was only right I...
Read moreThe employee was just weird, not very helpful either. Just wanted to complain about how my car has a part that "might go bad" and said "good luck with that $6K part". He also made me go get everything I was looking for, like the wipers I needed, he wouldn't go grab them, he stared at me then said "They are over there. You going to go grab them? They are size blah blah blah". He was very lazy, it was the guy with painted nails. Just saying, when I go to AutoZone, they NEVER make me go grab a part or item I am looking for, they ALWAYS go grab it for me. Won't be returning, bad...
