Rookies Sportscards Plus — Local services in Lowell

Got back into collecting hockey cards after going through my old collection from the 1990's. I had to find a sport cards shop that I wanted to frequent. I visited 4 of 5 sports cards store in the Grand Rapids/Big Rapids area. I think I found my store, I bought many wax pack boxes that I didn't expect to see in the store. Still enjoying opening them 2 weeks later. Now I cannot wait for my return. I live over an hour away one way and will make the trip again just for the experience.

This place is an unexpected gem in downtown Lowell. If you’re not local, it’s worth the trip from say, GR; despite its size it’s packed with fun products for any collector/enthusiast.

There’s a fun, relaxed vibe at Rookies. The owner, Jack, is a warm, friendly and “comic-al” guy (had to!!!). If you’re looking for anything specific he’s happy to help or keep an eye out for you.

Additionally, if you’re looking for a place to sell/trade for store credit, Jack gives, in my opinion, a fair deal and is pleasant doing...
