I first adopted brothers from Kathi about a dozen years ago. I really liked her and what she does for our feline friends, so I became a volunteer. I moved away for a while but when I came back to PA, I went right back to volunteering for Itty Bitty Kitty. Kathi takes excellent care of all the cats and kittens in the shelter. She is always available and/or replies quickly whenever I email about someone sneezing or any other "little" thing that can turn big quick! She knows who is who and everything about each cat. At the shelter, they are free to roam their rooms, at Petsmart they are caged, so she makes sure to routinely switch them around. Petsmart gets them seen and more likely to be adopted. The shelter is where they can uncurl their tails and be who they are. These cats are well taken care of by all the volunteers and Kathi herself. I think we all love each and every cat as our own. In fact, I adopted two more kittens (not...
Read moreI am very pleased to have adopted from Itty Bitty Kitty ("IBK") twice in the last 10 years. As a first-time adopter through IBK, a staff member conducted a thorough check of my application - including checking my vet reference and an in-home visit. I regularly shop at the Petsmart in Quakertown, PA, where a rotating selection of cats and kittens available for adoption through IBK are housed. Nearly everytime I am there, an IBK volunteer is there tending to the cats. Itty Bitty Kitty's recently opened shelter is like a sanctuary for cats waiting for their forever homes. Cats are separated by age and compatibility and are free to play in large, open rooms with many windows and toys. Itty Bitty Kitty is an excellent cat rescue that I would refer anyone in the area looking to...
Read moreI don’t like to leave negative reviews frequently, but this place was all bad vibes. The employees said “don’t bother trying to adopt a kitten from us,” despite their website saying that they adopt out kittens to families that have a cat at home. They were rude to us at the door, and they had a cat who was FIV positive in a room with other cats who were not. The whole house smelled terrible, and I just did not feel comfortable adopting from them. Please consider the humane society before you adopt from IBK. Thank you for taking care of these cats, but I do not recommend based on...
