Great Fair! Hubby and I go each year, we always get free concert tickets from the radio stations. This year we went twice as the rock concert was Skid Row and it was wow! The Cowskill's impressive! We pay to $5 to park, be sure to leave early if going to concerts as the traffic is pretty bad around that time. There is free parking but you will have quite the walk. Drop off everyone by the gates then driver can go park while you grab your concert seats😉 I always ride The Orbiter and the SkyRider, gotta spin out the cobwebs don't cha know lol. Scared of heights so the SkyRider lets me face my fear once a year, close your eyes or look down if ya get dizzy. Took 7 yr. old Grandson this year, helped him advance his ride experience, gave him confidence and a healthy dose of bravery. Rode a few, then saw the Wolves and Motocross Daredevils. We were extremely impressed with both shows and they got me off my feet for a minute. Rode a few more rides, hit the concert for another foot break and sing along. Great fun and so nostalgic! The refillable Strawberry Lemonade cups a bargain and a souvenir for when he comes over to our house. 😉Bought a light up $10 sword on way out to top it all off in grand style.😉💞 Only thing I would change is the alligator and wolves were on at the same time so we could not see both. He got to chose which so not a great big deal. Wonderful experience all the way around this year. Keep up the great work, they really out did themselves this year. Bravo South Plains...

Read moreYesterday, my 81 year old grandmother fell in this business’s parking lot due to unsafe, uneven ground. She injured her leg and hip. There were no “first aid workers” in the first aid building. Doors were locked. We came back around after going through the fair and there was still no first aid available in the designated area.
Out of concern for others, I called today to let them know what happened and to ask that they address the safety issue.
The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and offered no help in fixing the problem. Instead of showing any concern, she told me she “can’t control what prairie dogs do to the ground,” that they won’t be repairing it because it’s “too expensive,” and that my grandmother “needs to watch where she’s walking.” When I said, “I’m sure she isn’t the first person to fall,” her response was, “Oh, she’s not!”
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was shocking. Accidents happen, but dismissing an elderly woman’s injury, admitting others have fallen, and refusing to take responsibility for dangerous conditions is unacceptable. I truly hope they reconsider their approach before someone...
