So the food was mostly good. We had our first experience using take out from this establishment. The main issue is my wife and daughter had bad reactions to the chicken. My wife’s chicken was under cooked and my daughter enjoyed her chicken tenders but within hours she was throwing up and threw up all night on and off. My steak was medium rare instead of medium, slightly purple I still ate it and it was pretty good. No real sear on it which was a shame but over all pretty good.
The owner informed my wife that food poisoning doesn’t work that way which is completely false and a google search will easily prove that. It can be instant or happen within hours , days , varies. I hope the owner takes this seriously because she did ask my wife what it is my wife wanted from her implying we were looking for compensation/begging. My wife proceeded to explain we only wanted to inform her and she didn’t seem very grateful even claiming that her staff has been sick and that may be it. So this is a shame, she just threw away new customers without breaking a sweat. She did offer at the end of the call to replace the meal which is sort of a step in the right direction, not really necessary for us. Being called liars and beggars kind of killed it for us. Not a place I would ever return. Been in Lubbock 6 years and just now trying this place, doesn’t seem like we...
Read moreWe happen to be in lubbock I googled because I am not from there best places to eat this restaurant came up as the #1 spot. We went in it was shortly after rush hour so maybe that makes a difference but either way I think the restaurant doesn’t have enough parking, the front as you come in is cute and set up nicely, we noticed that they had a display case with beautiful selections of desserts( honestly I think this is why it’s so highly rated), I ordered a salad and my aunt ordered marinated chicken she said it was warm and the food was small portioned so she was able to eat everything. My salad was 11.99 I asked for no tomatoes and no dressing but it claimed to have romaine lettuce none was in my serving and I found the serving of chicken to be small( this could have been my fault for not asking for extra chicken) I feel that salad is at best shouldn’t cost no more than 7.00 for iceberg lettuce, a couple of onions and chicken. The waitress was pleasant and did check on us which was good.
I hope if you do go here you have a way better experience than we did. It not a place I would attend again while in the area. I rely heavily on reviews when I eat out places and hope this helps the...
