Update: No, you never said anything about an up charge and it was not until cashing out that you tried to charge $80! Anytime someone complains, you get your undies in a wad. That is evidenced by your other responses. Right away, ppl are profane because they express dissatisfaction. There was no profanity. Typically, I wouldn’t waste my breath on providing an update to my review based on the “business owners” response, but clearly their response is narcissistic and gas-lit. At no time did we display any type of “attitude” or “belittle” your so-called barber. As far as your “pricing,” you charged over and above what you have advertised and never mentioned you would attempt to charge us twice for your underperforming barber’s failure and injuries caused to my son. The only time it got heated was when you tried to charge double. We didn’t set the mood, you did! Thank you!!

Took our son in here for the first time today because we heard they were awesome. The first guy that cut his hair was consistently on his phone and leaving his station to look outside, which was a little frustrating because his attention clearly wasn’t 100% on his work. My husband tried to explain what kind of cut we wanted for our son, but barber did not comply. Another guy offered to fix it and finish the job. May have been the owner. Our son had to wait a bit and was starting to get agitated due to low blood sugar. The second guy tried to fix what the first guy didn’t do and the cut still wasn’t what we wanted and to top it off, our son ended up with cuts on his neck and scalp that burned when they put the gel in his hair. The worst part was that when we were cashing out, they tried to charge us for two hair cuts, a whopping $80.00, because the second guy had to fix our son’s hair. We adamantly refused to pay for two services, especially since they provided poor service. A reputable business would have compensated a dissatisfied customer, not tried to charge them double! This was an extremely egregious action on behalf of the business! We paid $40.00 for the poor service received and was told we were not welcome to come back and trust me,...

I don't make this statement lightly because I've been to some great barbershops, trash barbershops and literally everything in between. This may be the first review I've ever left on an establishment. Modern Blendz is the best barbershop I've ever been to. I've lived in a lot of cities from San antonio, San Marcos, Houston and now the DFW. Lived out in Alabama and been cut at more barbershops in a variety of states across the country. It isn't always just about the cut. Modern Blendz is the complete package. Great environment, professionalism, thoughtful and legitimately good dudes, good music, prompt service and a dang good product. The thing i love most about this shop is that every single one of these dudes can cut. I'm a coach and teacher in Plano and my schedule is pretty hectic. A lot of the time I'm running in late after practice or trying to get fresh before a Friday night game. These fellas have never turned me away and always get me in quicker than they have to. Being able to just stroll in as a walk in and not have any anxiety waiting for the "next available barber" is rare. So rare in fact that I've NEVER been able to do it. Most of the time you have your barber and never deviate. Tito is my guy normally but I've been cut by every dude at the shop and have walked out fresh and satisfied each time. I've seen every style of hair and every race of person come walking through the door and I've never seen anyone leave unsatisfied. Its just that type of spot.

I took my freshmen son here during homecoming and was thrilled to know the atmosphere was professional. I enjoyed the music which I found to be Uptone with a mixture of afrobeats, reggitone, and some old school vibes. Ofcourse I like the censoring of the language and not your typical "shake your booty" degrading female music. My perspective is a single mom can feel good bringing her young man into this establishment without the uncomfortableness of wolves. All the babers presented themselves as well styled gentleman of many backgrounds and ages. There is a transition over of music in mid day, so get there early for uncecular ears.

Love the sanitation practices. Cleaning the blades! Tiding the shop between ever cut...love it!

The sports t.v. is classic. Love watching the variety of sports TV from boxing to athletic conversations.

Now for the haircut...my son is on the spectrum so it's hard to get him to decide on the cut without having a visual of how it will look on all sides of his head. None the less the haircut was clean. The sharp lines and the displaying fade....whooowee! Had my son looking fresh and so clean. Or in these days terms he was lookin Gucci!

Overall do spend a bill for the style cut, tip, and atmosphere. It is worth all the work put into it. It's not just a haircut. It's an art of building an...
