BRIAN - manager - what a useless waste.

COMPLETELY EMPTY at 6:30pm were Red Peppers, Green Peppers, Cucumbers, ALL CARROTS but the already peeled crap, Cabbage & Cauliflower. There was not ONE bag of lettuce & only 1 Spinach. I don’t know if Brian is the manager I typically see standing around in the evenings when I come later, but if so, he should work a little harder. He should be STOCKING if the product is in the back. He has 2legs and 2arms and can work hard to make up for his employees that don’t work hard (from what he told me). The products are in the back, because when you ask, if you can find someone, they will go in the back and get product. Hire more people if you’re having trouble keeping the shelves stocked Brian but when I said, I would take my business to randazzo right down the street, Brian didn’t seem bothered by it.

These people started out great, the store ran beautifully, shelves were stocked but over the last month and a half, they’re crashing. You can’t go in and find produce UNLESS Charlotte is there stocking the shelves. Brian, the useless manager, made excuses when I called saying “Charlotte is off” and they’re short staffed. Well, Brian, as a former manager myself I would suggest you take off your “manager apron” and put on your shelf stocking apron and get the items on the floor. I think they should put CHARLOTTE in charge of the store, she run circles around everybody in this location. It seems to be she’s the only person that can get...

We’ve visited this store multiple times per month since the opening - and pretty much only return because of the generous coupons that come in the mail.

In the past year or so, many items are regularly out of stock, no matter what day of the week or time of day you go. The produce section is especially problematic - things like mushrooms, salad kits, even potatoes at times are simply not replenished fast enough. You’ll also find certain staple fruits frequently unavailable, despite being in stock at other chains a mile away.

Employees, while friendly, frequently leave flatbeds of items in the middle of aisles or the medians, causing a hazard. These carts are supposedly used to restock the shelves, but with no one actually performing that task, they just impede the flow of shoppers. You’ll even see this on Sunday mornings, when traffic is typically higher.

Then there’s the issue of the promotional coupons that are for this store only. They will at times ring up improperly or just refuse to scan - needing an associate to override.

The bottle return room is another issue - there have been several times I’ve visited where there is only one plastic & can machine operational. Since it has a separate entry apart from the main store, it’s hard to flag down an employee to fix the issue with the other machines.

It would be one thing if this were an independent store in its early years, but for such a large company, it’s just an odd thing to see this...

The store is nice and relatively clean and organized. I was able to find help when I was searching for an item, and that person was polite even though he said he “didn’t know much” and we ultimately couldn’t find the item. There are many sparkling waters and things like chips and dry goods. The pharmacy is a little limited on what insurance they take. The produce selection here is also limited. For example, several “normal” grocery items have strange availability. For example, today there was no cauliflower except a tiny head of cauliflower packaged with a tiny head of broccoli. And the only mushrooms they EVER stock are organic mushrooms. They confirmed this. The packaged greens also had very limited non-organic options. So I guess if you have the disposable income to pay a lot of extra money for organic produce, then this is your store. But if you just need the basics, things here are limited. I found that several items I regularly purchase at places like Kroger are marked up a dollar or more. I stopped by customer service to just let them know I’d prefer more non-organic options - just to give them some feedback from their customers. The lady just shrugged at me and offered to help me find the cauliflower (I had already asked someone else; there was no cauliflower.) I probably won’t be shopping here much, which is a shame because it’s the closest...

New Meijer to the area. We live near the Meijer on Hall Road and Hayes near Lakeside Mall but decided to check out this newer Meijer. The parking is odd but then again the store is shaped like a triangle so it's all laid out differently. My mom can not walk but a few steps so I always try to get handicap parking. It was Friday at 1pm and all but one of the handicap parking spots was taken. I slowly went around a corner as a mother and child were walking near the rear of my vehicle, and made my way to the one handicap spot when someone literally flew into it! They quickly bounced out and went into the store. Um, OK. I did find a spot somewhat close to the handicap spots. I LOVE that they had multiple, fully-functioning scooters! What a relief not to have to hunt down a rickety, barely charged one of two scooters situation that I face EVERY...SINGLE...TIME I go to the Meijer's on Hall Road. I rode a scooter out to our car and mom got on. I also loved that there were plenty of small shopping carts. The isles are large and very clean. The produce is fresh and plentiful. There are a lot of extra food items to choose from that you won't see in other grocery stores. I did notice the absence of the toys, sports and garden areas. This is a very large, well-appointed, attractive food store. They are located at the corner of 24 mile and Hayes in Macomb Township, MI.

Store was bright and clean. It's a Meijer grocery so the misc items are not in this store. So the store is set up differently. We used the scan and go. Once we scanned it stopped and said we needed to have help. There was only one person watching scan and go and the self checkout. Needless to say he was overwhelmed. We should have been second inline for help. He went to 3 other red flashing lights that were after us. We gave up and just did self checkout and then tried to get Jim to cancel our scan and go. He accused us of not waiting our turn when in fact we waited and then some. He couldn't grasp that we wanted him to cancel our scan and go so we weren't charged twice. Disappointing experience

Update September 2023 - my one daughter wanted to try one of the cakes for her birthday. We picked out the one with the Oreo cookies on top with cherries on the inside. It was very good and the kids loved it. Very good cakes! September 2023 - my daughter and I needed something from the store and we decided to check this store out. A lot of parking and a very clean store. The staff was very nice and helpful. Worth checking out if you are in the area.
