The blonde girl handing out the blizzards tonight was extremely rude. I specifically ordered a cookie dough blizzard with vanilla ice cream for my daughter and when they set it down, my daughter said it looks like chocolate ice cream and she wanted vanilla. I said this to the girl and she said there's chocolate in it but it's vanilla ice cream and turned away ignoring my concern. My daughter reluctantly tried it once and didn't like it. I dug around in the blizzard to see if maybe the bottom part was vanilla at all and all of the ice cream was chocolate (whether it started as vanilla and mixed with chocolate or not, we asked for vanilla). I walked back to the counter and told her all of it's chocolate and she doesn't like it and that we asked for vanilla. She then said there's nothing they can do because she took one bite (if you could even call it that!) of the ice cream and they can't take it back (Obviously! That's not what my request was). I said, she only tried it because she thought she had to but I mentioned it to you the moment you handed it to us. We didn't even want it at that point because it was all chocolate. She said she wouldn't make us a new one. I challenged her and told her I just want what I ordered and paid for and I didn't care what happened to or want the one I had already handed back to her. After me pushing and not budging or leaving and her throwing up her arms complaining to another worker, she finally very rudely said, "you need to go throw it away over there (by the door).. we're making a new one". I said thank you and reassured her that I wasn't trying to keep the old one and scam them. I simply wanted what I specifically ordered and paid for. She's had it before and it wasn't all chocolate ice cream like that. She scoffed and turned away.

Ordered a chocolate blizzard, when I got home I realized it was vanilla. Upon going back I was met with attitude, and I even mentioned it was no big deal, I just needed it remade. It was a big order, people make mistakes. I work retail, I get it. Instead of remaking my cup, the kid at the counter insists I placed the order wrong. Right, of course I just enjoy wasting my time driving back to places and going through this ordeal rather than enjoying my food. Eventually who I assume is the manager (another teenage girl) says "fine, we'll remake it" and walks away. No apology, no anything.
If anyone with any form of power at DQ comes across this, please start hiring people 18+ with humility and decent manners. I'm not some old fogey, I'm in my mid-20's and the way your employees instigate and look for arguments is astounding. I came to your establishment with a smile and a positive attitude. I was met with contempt and eye rolling... Over ice...
Read moreHorrible service experience at this Dairy Queen on 24 Mile and Hayes. Disappointed that the ornery manager would not allow the girl taking orders to honor my .50 cent coupon, I proceeded to tell the manager that my medium vanilla cone was broken. He refused to make me a new one and then gave my cone to the next person in line! I asked him again for another cone and he argued with me that ALL the cones were broken! He would give me my money back but not honor my coupon OR give me another cone! Over 50 cents! Obviously a disgruntled customer meant ABSOLUTELY nothing to him... but 50 cents was worth my $8.00 order, a bad review and losing me and my family as patrons. Take your business elsewhere. The Romeo Dairy Queen took my coupon without hesitation, stating that "we honor all coupons, Ma'am!" Thankfully there are other Dairy Queen's in the area who's service team and management are better trained in...
