Olejnik Farms — Local services in Macomb Township

Super disappointed this year after many years of excellent help and flowers. This year, supposedly, the flowers sold to me where overgrown and needed to be Planted immediately yet no one said anything to me while purchasing. The flowers are all laying down and even planted still. I called for advise and what I got was a lecture on petunias and told that they are not responsible for how the flowers are treated once they leave them. I can assure everyone that I’ve been getting Petunias and planting them for 23 years. Yet never had this problem. I take care of my plants and didn’t appreciate being told that it’s not their fault if they are under-watered or overwatered. They were just rude and condescending. Said they call me back but didn’t. I was very excited to receive a bushel of pickles in order to make a recipe that I make every year. Sadly, I ordered them from Olejnik Farms this years and was disappointed. They looked to be good when I checked them over, but I soon realized that the bottom half was near spoiled. So, I was unable to use them- given the $35 that was spent on them. When I went to Olejnik to see if I could somehow get a refund on the half of the bushel that I could not use, they told me that since it is a perishable item, they couldn't. While I would not have minded that, they did so in a disrespectful manner as if I was the one to blame for the spoiled pickles that I received. When asked, they had remembered that I picked them up just a day ago, but told me that they looked to be 4 to 5 days old. If I could, I would give them 0 stars. Hopefully their product quality and customer service improve...

I enjoyed visiting Olejnik Farms & Greenhouses.

They have a wide open layout that makes it easy to move around the location. They have high quality goods here. They keep a selection of unique plants. Even the 'common' plants they have they keep in interesting varieties. We picked up some healthy and robust white rimmed hostas.

I was very happy to find some very strong elephant ears here as well. What was the most pleasing to me was when I got home and started to plant. I could see that the plants had been carefully cared for as they waited for sale. They hadn't been allowed to just sit and get root bound. They were carefully trimmed and cared for. This made it very easy for me to plant them. I look forward to a pleasant growing season.

I will be returngint to Olejnik Farms & Greenhouses for my plants and supplies...
