Remember When Scrapbooking — Local services in Macomb Township

My two friends and I drove over an hour to shop, specifically for the Tri State Shop Hop. I’ve been here about 2 years ago but new to my two friends. We were immediately greeted at the front with the canned expression “Can we help you find anything” and we told her we were partaking in the Hop. This would have been a great time to explain any deals, etc but they didn’t. Two minutes later the other employee came to check in on us. Again and again. Not sure if they thought we were going to shoplift but that’s how we felt. When we looked at all the kits they pointed to everything they had. When I wanted to take a photo (which I later put my phone away because I realized there was a photo of the cards in the kit front), I believe it was the “owner”, practically ran over and curtly told me no photo taking allowed. I explained that none were taken because I had seen the pictures on the kit and she scolded me for another 30 seconds. When we checked out, one of us inquired about any specials for the Hop and she said “no” except for the tag that was premade. Yet, one of us spent over $50 and she got to pick a free 6x6 paper pad. Regardless if this was part of the event, we were never told and me and my other friend who spent about $40 each, probably would have picked up a few more items for the deal. My friend had asked a question when she was checking out and the employee was rudely interrupted by the other mid-sentence by the other. The two working at that time seemed to have no joy working at the store and that’s a shame. We went to two other stores participating in the Hop that day and we were encouraged to take photos of samples and they engaged in pleasant enjoyable conversations with us on our shared love of crafting. Such a difference but what a shame for this store. I hope by posting this they can change...

I tell all paper crafters I know that this is THE BEST scrapbooking/paper crafting store I've ever come across in Canada and the US combined. Its owner and staff are incredibly generous, creative, helpful, and humorous! The product lines they carry are top notch with fair prices. The Scrappy Club membership they offer is well worth the price. The Crops they host are fantastic and so inexpensive. The welcome I receive every time I visit their store from Canada is full of hugs and love and TRUE appreciation for my business. I literally spent 3 hours on Thursday shopping here and will return in May, if not sooner. Keep up the wonderful business you have, Shannon, with the great Lisa and Cheri helping alongside. I feel the love everytime I'm there and will promote you to the moon and back! I cannot wait to see you guys...

The nicest people I had a last minute project that I signed up for and they were there to help me and guid me on the best options. also took the time to help me cut the perfect shapes honestly the best experience I have ever had as a new shopper in a store! Never once made me feel silly for not knowing just wanted to share knowledge of something i could tell they really cared about. I will forever suggest people come here for all the scrapbooking needs! Wall to wall paper and stickers and all the decorations to make it perfect if I could give higher than 5...
